We were very happy to see Doris when she came over to England in the summer of 2007 to visit us. We had a lovely day in Alnmouth catching up and watching the raft race on the river Aln. We were sad to hear of her passing.

God saw you getting tired,
When a cure was not to be.
So He wrapped his arms around you,
and whispered, "come to me."

You didn't deserve what you went through,
So He gave you rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
He only takes the best

And when I saw you sleeping,
So peaceful and free from pain
I could not wish you back
To suffer that again.

Love you Nanny Tracy and Peter xxxx

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

When I was a little girl,
You taught me how to knit and pearl, and if I ate my crusts my hair would curl,
If a thunder bolt should strike Collier Row, under the stairs we would go...

When I was older,
You taught me life was for laughing, dancing and living, Never taking - always giving.

Your glass was always half full, even after a flutter when the Scotch bottle and your purse were half empty! :-)
For you friends and family were plenty.

Birthdays and Christmas a card was always sent, but sadly across the miles not enough time and company spent.

Nan I'm so sorry I didn't get to say goodbye at the end of your days,
But I want you to know I will miss you today and always.

I hope that in a while, when I think of you it will be with a smile,
As I'll picture you dancing with Grandad Ted, side by side again like the day you were wed,

I love you Nan, it's so sad your life had to end,
Goodbye from Lindsey, your Grandaughter and your friend.

Hold Tight
Angel Wings are upon us
To comfort and guide us
Holding Tight thru Nanny's flight
To be with all Gods children.
We long for a few more minutes or
even a few more seconds.
But Our Dear Lord and Savior says
"It's time to let her go. She will be in a better place.
Let her pain be little and her suffering be gone
for in heaven she will have none."
Goodbye Nanny we say, for be on your way.
We will meet you someday, up in heaven.
We love you and will miss you each and everyday
Until once again we meet that great day in heaven.
