Jane, Just a word of appreciation for the beautiful tributes for your mother. Your comments as well as those of Rev. Troyer and Pastor Wood were very appropriate and meaningful. Her work at Hobe Sound Bible College will never be forgotten and her positive influence over the lives of countless students will be eternal. Our sympathies are with you for your loss and we rejoice in the legacy we are able to share with you.
Vice Chairman, HSBC Board of Directors
Janet and I wish to convey our condolences to the family. Dorothy was a gracious lady; so alive, so intelligent, so dedicated to the cause of Christian education, especially at Hobe Sound Bible School. My life was enriched by having known her.
Hobe Sound Bible College is what it is today, due in large measure to the efforts of Sister Herron who labored side by side with her husband, Dr. Herron, founder and former president of HSBC. We have lost a true friend and soldier of the cross, but heaven is richer today.

Glad for the opportunity of knowing you and Bro. Herron. God bless the family at this time.
Sister Herron was a great friend to the Alabama Bible Methodist Conference. She enjoyed the fellowship of the Family Camp Meeting and we enjoyed her fellowship as well. The Alabama Conference wishes to express heart felt sympathy to Jane and her family. Thank you for sharing mom with us. Rev. Walter Hedstrom President of the Alabama Bible Methodist Conference

Dorothy was a very special lady. I always enjoyed being around her and traveling with her. She loved her church family in Florida and they loved her. She always looked forward to her next visit. I will miss her sweet smile but I am glad that she is finally at her eternal home.
I owe much to Bro. and Sis. Herron. Not enough space to mention all that they mean to me and will forever cherish their memories, both from Hobe Sound and from Pell City. May the loving arms of Jesus surround the family at this time. Marilyn Marchant - South Caicos Island
Sis. Herron was a great Alabama lady, a faithful support to her husband, a conservator of holiness values, a candid commentator on things as she saw them, and a possessor of a wonderful sense of humor. Now she has joined her "Steve" once again. I shall look forward to serving once again under their honorable positions in that better world to come.

Mrs. Herron was a true southern lady. We loved working with her and Dr. Herron. She was also a wonderful neighbor and friend. She will be missed.

Dorothy Herron will live on through the thousands of young people who have attended Hobe Sound Bible College over the years...I am one of them. Thank you, dear Sis. Herron.
I loved her dearly! Mrs. Herron was a true southern lady who I greatly admired! She was the first person we met when me and my family moved to Florida in 1962. She (along with her husband) influenced so many of us for good! Their rewards in heaven will be great! I'm sending my sincere sympathies to Jane and her family during this time of great loss!
Mrs. Herron was a great encourager to me around 9 years ago at a difficult time in my life. She shared with me about a time in her life that was difficult for her. She knew just what to say, just what i needed to hear. She was a role model of a genuine Christian wife and mother for younger women to emulate. Our Alabama ties endeared her to me even more.
To Mrs. Herron's daughters my prayer's are with you both and your extended family. Your mother has left such a great heritage behind and her life has influenced and touched so many lives that she never knew. Her sacrifice to start Hobe Sound was a place where my life was changed. May God be with you all during this great time of loss.
When I think of Mrs. Herron I think of "dedication". Truly she was dedicated to her husband and his ministry. He began Hobe Sound Bible College and it was through her hard work that it became a great educational institution. Not only was she loyal to her husband but also to her daughter. She did much to help Jane become her dream of being a doctor. Both the Herron's loved and made each student feel as though they were the best. We have such pleasant memories. She is a beacon of light!
Dr. & Mrs S.D. Herron were dear friends to so many churches and people. We grieve at the loss of this great lady. Her personal kindness to my wife and I was deeply appreciated. Her loss is great- but Heaven is brighter.
Mrs. Herron is one of my heroes. I will always love and admire her in
many various ways. I loved being her piano teacher in the 80's. She was
an interested and conscientious piano student. We can only imagine Dr. Herron and Frances and the reunion they are all now experiencing.
Barbara Smith Capps McIntosh
She was a grand person, with so many gifts and talents. I remember her coming to Taiwan to help in our summer camp. We enjoy the fellowship.
A true Christian lady and helpmeet to her husband. She was an inspiration to all who met her.
Cheryl & Fred Myers, Barberton, OH
Mrs. Herron was a great lady! She loved people and they loved her. She was a friend to everyone. I owe her a great debt of gratitude, for she was responsible for me getting my teaching position at HSCA. She believed in me, and saw the potential that I had. I will certainly miss this great lady and am so glad I had the priviledge of knowing her. My prayers are with the family at this difficult time.
What a wonderful lady! We will always treasure her memory.
