I have fond memories of Dorothy as we grew up in Portland, Maine. She was my sister, Jessie's close friend. Rest in peace Dear Lady- memories of you are precious & will be treasured forever. Fran Hilton. Portland, Me.
Have good memories of working with Dottie at NS Weeklies in the early 80s. Sending our heartfelt condolences from NYC.
I worked at the Chronicle/NSWeeklies with Dottie for many years. I still have the picture taken of her and I, Bill, Mary, Romeo, and others...with the ceremonial shovel on the old Grossman's site. It was freezing that day but we were making history.
Dottie was the Best!!
Dottie was a lady of Class, and yet she could always share a smile, laugh, or tears.
Dottie could throw a party! I remember a baby shower at her house - she didnt leave anything out!!
And now she gets to be with the angels. I lift my glass to you sweet lady, thanking you for all the memories. Love Kathryn
Kim- I have so many cherished memories of working and laughing with your mom at the newspaper in Ipswich, always wished I'd kept in touch. She was one of the loveliest women I've ever known. Love and prayers to your family.
I only met Dottie one time but it make an lasting impression. I loved her blue/yellow decorating. I wish time had allowed me more visiting with Dottie. At last she is at peace and the demons of cancer no longer control her.

Dottie had a very hard time at the end, and the Lord took her into His arms and gave her peace. She will be sorely missed by those of us who knew her. She was a lady, gracious and lovely in every way. G-d speed Dottie.
I am so sorry about Dottie's passing this past Thursday. She was a wonderful person who never had anything bad to say and was always a very positive and beautiful lady. She will be sorely missed by all of us who knew her. I am so sorry that I couldn't get to Cary today, but may G-d bless her and give her peace.
We were so saddened to hear about Dottie's passing. We got married last April and Dottie helped my husband design my wedding ring and wedding band. In addition she was a big help with our invitations and programs. We enjoyed getting to know her over the last few years. She was such a special person and will be missed.
I'm so sorry to hear of Dottie's passing. I will always have fond memories of her. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
We want to offer our sincerest sympathies to Dottie's family. She was a beautiful person inside and out. We knew her from Immaculate Conception Church, and agree with the others who mentioned her wonderful smile.
I was saddened to hear of Dottie's passing. From grammar school through high school we were classmates and close friends. We had many shared memories including the fun we had as cheer leaders for Saint Joseph's Grammar School. She is now in my thoughts and will always be. May she look down upon us all with favor.
My deepest sympathies. Imagine my shock to read of her death here in NC. Dottie and I dated for about a year in high school I also atended St. Joseph's Church and I went to Cheverus). That we would both end up in NC after all these years and never know it. I've lived in New Bern for the last ten years. We have probably not seen each other since the early 60's, but this notice brought back many memories. She will be remembered.
I was so sorry to see Dottie's obituary in the Ipswich Chronicle this morning. I had the pleasure of working with Dottie at the Chronicle and she always had that wonderful smile and we always joked together. She will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of her family.
"We have all been blessed by Dottie. She has an amazing family that will miss her dearly! She helped my husband Jeff to pick out my wedding ring that I will always cherish and keep close to my heart. We love you Dottie....."
To Dottie's Family,
I lost my breath for a moment when I saw your mother's obituary in this morning's paper and I have thought of her all day. I can't believe someone so alive became so ill. We were great friends in high school; I went to slumber parties and dinners and sometimes just afternoon visits after school at her house.
She had such class! She use to try to teach me how to pose for pictures - all those dancing lessons almost turned her into a model.
The last time I saw her was at your grand mother's wake, she was still beautiful! Please accept my sincere sympathy at loosing her so soon.
May God have mercy on her and bless all of you.
Sister Ellen Turner (CHS"61)

I am sorry at the loss of your beautiful mother. We were classmates at Cathedral High School. I always admired her charming personality and when I saw her at our Class Reunion, she was the same Dottie. We spent time together and she told me how much she loved being a grandmother, and viewing the pictures it was obvious. I am going to have a Mass said for her and I will keep you all in my prayers
during this difficult period.
My deepest sympathy and God Bless you,
Mary (Coyne) Gleason
Kimberlee - my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time of loss. May your Mom's soul soar in the spiritual world as she is now freed from her pain and difficulties.
