I have many fond memories of Ed. I never realized I was mechanically inclined until he taught me how to use tools. I spent countless hours in his workshop listening to stories of his years in service, smelling the cheap Pathmark tobacco from his corncob pipes, cutting down pallet wood for the fireplace that always burned too hot and hoping he wouldn't slice another finger tip off on the table saw. He always had a joke or sarcastic comment, treasured his Max and Jerry and welcomed me into his family with open arms.
He was a great father-in-law, cherished grandpa, husband and dad who will certainly be missed.

As Ed was leaving my treatment room and entering in my waiting room after a successful chiropractic treatment about 15 years ago, he turned to this young, green chiropractor and asked loudly, for a full waiting room to hear, "Bill, can I go ballroom dancing?" Perplexed, not realizing he was a dancer, I answered "Sure". In typical Ed fashion, he turned to his 'audience', "Good because I couldn't dance before!" There wasn't a straight face in the room.

I already miss you!

I was the Italian daughter. Mr. Ed and I also shared the same birthday! He was the sweetest, funniest man I knew. My first day of work at Sperry, (Mr. Ed worked there too!) he brought me a cake to share with everyone. What a wonderful way to break the ice and welcome me to the Sperry family! I'll never forget him. Love, Charlene

Mr. Ed, A man who I admired and who always made me feel welcome. I love the "Whirly Gig" you gave me over 30 years ago and it is still going. You are a man of honor and integrity. I wish I had one more time to visit with you and hear you call me Artie.
You were like a dad to me and you will always be in my heart.
Love "Artie" Keinath

Dearest Ed,

You were a wonderful man who made us laugh constantly. You have a beautiful family who I am blessed to know. Thank you for your service to our country. Your absence has left a big hole in our hearts. We wish you God Speed.

In sympathy and friendship,

Linda
