Dear Terry, On behalf of Mara and myself, I wanted to extend our sincere condolences to you. We have always cherished our memories of our early childhoods spent next door to your family. We've had a sincere affection for your father all our lives, and were very sad to hear of his passing. Please accept our sympathies. With kind regards, Mira.
Terry, you are in my thoughts and my prayers. We are all going to miss Eric so much. While no words can soften your grief, I hope you can find some comfort in knowing that your Dad lived a long, full life, and is now reunited with your Mom after all these years. All my love, Ceili
We just wanted to let you know that we are thinking of you, Terry and are sorry to hear of your Dad`s passing. Although we didn`t have the honour of meeting him we are sure that he was a great Dad and person as he raised a wonderful son and that you are a reflection of him. Take care...Marianne and Andre
My condolences Terry and Sheila. I'm very sad to hear about your Dad passing away. He sounded like a great, accomplished man, one of the few left of his generation. May he rest in peace and forever in your memories.
My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Terry and his family, I fondly remember Mr. Ashton and his kindness to all of us in eastview, all the good times, and many trips to the "Red Rooster" for the weekends, he was a blessing to all, and will be long remembered. I know they will add a 53rd stone for him in his garden at LeBoldus High School, his fellow "Farmer Johns" will welcome him.
Truly sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. He was a Canadian hero.
Eric was our neighbor many years ago in Glencairn when my children were small. He used to sit on a bench beside his house and talk to the neighborhood kids & quite often send vegetables home with them from his wonderful garden. Those interesting fun talks with "Mr. Ashton" on his bench are really special memories for my 38 & 31 yr. old kids. They've never forgotten him & were very saddened to hear of his passing, as am I.
My deepest sympathy in this time of mourning.
Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.
