We couldn't love you more Pop but we will see you again.
May his light always shine upon us and may we feel his love forever.
What a kind, wonderful person Ernie was! My daughter, when she was 3 and 4 loved to walk with him on his mail route for a few houses. He made her feel so grown up. He also made sure that a letter she mailed to her grandparents in Iowa got to them with S@H green stamps instead of a real stamp. My 90 year old mother still has that letter!! That wouldn't happen now! My heart goes out to the entire family, and especially to Carol, Mark and Eric. He was such a good man.
I still have the souvenir baseball pennant I bought from my very first MLB game ever attended. Uncle Ernest took me to a Dodgers - Giants game at LA Dodger Stadium when I was maybe 9 yrs old(1967). I always wanted to fish like him. All these years later, though I was only a teenager the last time I saw him, I enjoy my time on the water, fishing with my own kids;never forgetting being amazed at that first trout I watched Uncle Ernest pull from the water.
