Esther will always be in my heart as a cherished friend. She instilled a love of reading in our four children and a calling to public service in me. She will be truly missed. -- Hon. Livvy R. Floren
I am sorry that I wasn't able to attend the services for Mrs. Banker but I do want her family to know I am thinking of them and they are all in my prayers. Mrs. Banker was one in a million! She had a way about her, when you spoke with her she made you feel like you were the most important person in the world. She was a very special person and touched so many lives in so many ways. I will miss her and feel honored to have known her.
Dear Banker family,
I remember Esther with great fondness from many years ago at North Mianus School. My children attended North Mianus and I worked there as a volunteer for many years prior to joining the Greenwich Public Schools ESL staff. Esther was a treasure - knowledgeable, ready to help, friendly, soft-spoken, and gracious at all times. I feel fortunate to have walked some of her same paths. I hope all the family is comforted by the fact that Esther lives on in the lives of the thousands that she touched in such a positive way.
Earnest and Family,
Im the Pantheon of great Byram Ladies, namely, H. Schubert and F. Archibald who made a big difference in the lives of all Byram residents, we now can add Esther Banker to that great honor.
She was indeed a special person and will be remembered by all.
Sincerely, Millie and Joe Russell
To the family,
I work for Gateway Preschool, and Mrs. Banker was the librarian when I first started working for Gateway back in the 80's. She was such a wonderful lady and was always so nice and helpful with the children, as well as the teachers.
I would like to send my deepest condolences to you for your loss. May you be comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Dearest Ernest, Kim and family,
My prayers and sympathy. May she rest in peace.
Esther was my mothers best friend and "sister" for over sixty years and was a part of our family. They enjoyed so many happy times like tea at the Plaza, vacations in Palm Beach, luncheons in Greenwich and were always in touch with each other. Esther was the most caring, giving and loving person in the whole world and our love for her will always remain in our hearts. We will miss her so very very much!!!! Our hearts are also with Ernest and the family at this very difficult time and we are there for them if they ever need us.
All Our Love,
Dyne Jensen, Wendy Wylie and Lori Barnes
