Eula was a faithful and beloved member of Hermitage Church of Christ for many years. We were blessed to have her sweet spirit and servant's heart among us and we will miss her very much. We are so thankful to have had the opportunity to know such a precious and faithful woman and will look forward to seeing her again.

We will miss you Granny! We all have our special memories of her. She was a rock! Toughest woman I know but also the most kind and humble. Such a classy lady. Love you Gran!!

Mama was a strong Christian woman, and she was always helping others, never expecting anything in return. She spent a lot of time reading scriptures, and her Bible is tagged, underlined, highlighted with side notes and worn from her frequent studies. Mama brought her family to church every time the doors were open, and we learned to worship and praise God by her example. She had a lot of advice to share, but she would usually wait until we asked so that we would listen with an open heart. She was also very forgiving. It didn't matter how badly I might have failed, she was always there to help me pick up the pieces, fix what could be fixed and start all over again.

Mama was also very talented! Not only could she crochet, she knitted, arranged flowers, cooked, sewed and quilted. I think if you asked the members of Hermitage Church of Christ, they would say that she has crocheted afghans for most of the babies in the congregation. All of her children and great grandchildren have afghans and Christmas ornaments that she crocheted. All four of her children have beautiful quilts handsewn by Mama. She made me a Cathedral Window quilt with so much intricate detail that it took several years to complete. The cool thing is that I also learned to cook, sew, quilt and crochet. I learned it all from her! I don't know how many times she would step back from the stove and nearly trip because I was underfoot. Instead of scolding me, she would hand me a spatula and show me what to do. It was the same way with sewing. I sewed crooked seams and she helped me rip them out until I finally got it right.

Mama's mansion is no longer empty, and I know she is celebrating with Daddy and Joshua as well as other family members and friends. Love, Barbara

God looked around His garden
And found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb,
So He closed your weary eyelids
And whispered "Peace be thine".
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn't go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
Thanks for all the advice & caring words, I have enjoyed you so much, And thank you for giving me my Den. We love you. Brenda
