Eunice was always a delight to spend time with. She was an exceptional individual, always gracious, elegant, and charming. We will all miss her loving spirit and kind manner.
It was an honnor to have known Eunice and visited with her and our Aunt Mona on numerous occasions. We will miss our calls to her. Please keep in contact with us as you can.
Always a real mother to me. Eunice carefully prodded me along, just enough to guide me to the right decisions and always would come with dad to visit in my various journeys in life. I was very lucky to have her as my step-mother.
Although I never had the pleasure of meeting Eunice, I did have the pleasure of working with her only son, Louis, for many years. I can only assume what type of lady Eunice was, her strength of character and her caring for her family and friends based on those same qualities embodied in Louis. My condolences to Louis for his loss.

To All My Evergreen Friends - Mom always meant to come home to Evergreen; she fought so hard to get back here. Her spirit was so much larger - so much stronger - than her physical container: it simply wore out long before her spirit did. She had many, many good friends at Evergreen, and I feel that I do, as well. I think of you all as extended, adoptive family. I know I have many good friends here as well. God bless you all for the friendship and kindness you extended to me, and to my mother, Eunice Ashmore. She and Col. Ashmore were married the same year that my wife and I were married. We each had over thirty years of blessed grace in marriage. It was an honor to have Eunice (then Roberts) as my mother, and an honor to have Vincent Ashmore as the man I chose to be my "real" father, at age 24.
It is an honor as well to count the wonderful people I have met at Evergreen as friends. God bless you all.
Louis Roberts - Eunice (nee McFarland) Roberts Ashmore's only son.
