I miss you ma.
Thank you for all you taught me about how to be a good person, how to live, laugh and love. And you never really had to say anything about those things, you taught by example, you taught by being you.
The hole in my heart will be forever filled with your smile. The sorrow i feel will be forever comforted by your hugs.
I love you forever and ever, ma.
'Till we meet again.

Auntie Eva, I have some of the best memories from all the summers we would come and visit you. I remember the excitement when we turned on to Cortwright Way and pulled up to your house knowing we were going to spend a whole week with you. You were the one who told me it was okay to pick a horse by the color of the jockey's silk and not to listen to anybody else advice. Thank you for all the wonderful memories.

Auntie Eva, thank you for all the love you always gave us. I'm especially thankful to you and Uncle Frank for being there to help me feel more at home while we lived up north. The love and caring you showed Dave and I, and then to Georgia when she came along means so much. I will miss my Auntie Eva for the rest of my life, but I will forever be grateful for all that she taught me. I hope to live my life with even HALF the grace she had.

Auntie Eva you showed me how to be strong, silly and most important what unconditional love really is. Some of my best childhood memories are of our summers spent with our Northern California family. I always looked forward to walking through that front door and seeing your smiling face. Going to visit with you and Uncle Frank always felt like going home.

Our family is about remembering what matters, letting go of what doesn't, laughing, loving and knowing life is good because we have each other. Auntie Eva we will always have each other. I love you

I loved Eva! She was always so nice and so funny! She always had something positive to say.

I am a better person for having known her.

My heart breaks right now. But, I'm strong because of you. I laugh thinking of our goofy times and the way we embellished stories just to make them funnier! I miss you every second, mama.
I love you,

My old friend and neighbor Eva was the sweetest Mom on the Cortright block and I am sure her family will miss her lovely laughter and kind heart. I wish you all comfort in the knowledge that she is with you always.
