My memories of Mr. Jimenez that will always stay in my mind at 9 years old is that when he would come home I guest from work and I would be playing outside and I would see this handsome man through my nine years old eyes and he would have this beautiful smile and it always made me feel happy inside. He would say hello and I would smile and say hello too. Never did I see him angry. I'm 60 years old and still I remember his smile. Through the eyes of a nine years old. Rest in Peace I will always remember your kindness and your beautiful smile.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time of sorrow.

We are saddened by the passing of Mr. Evaristo Jimenez, Sr.
Our Condolences and sympathy are especially given to his wife who spent many wonderful years with him, Mrs. Filomena Morales Jimenez. Men of his generation have earned the respect to be called Mr. and Sir, which I personally always give.
He was/is one of the last Elders of a fraternity of men that held a code: honor, duty, and country, along with family and church. Rightfully, he was given a flag by his country for honorably serving during a turbulent time of our history.
It was noticeable by his smile and stature, that he respected his past, present, and what he could give to the future. One could also see this with the family foundation of Jim and Marta.
I have seen his masonry skills used firsthand when he was 70, while helping his son with work around his house on ladders above 20 feet. Looking at his work today, it still looks brand new!
I see his torch passed to his son, Evaristo Jimenez, Jr. always ready to help and assist neighbors with the art that has been past down to him by from his father.
Larissa and Javier, members of the next Jimenez generation, also have his pleasant smile and welcoming whenever you see them. At church, or in front of Jim's house, he would always give my mother-in-law a smile and greeting.
It has been an honor and privilege to have had an opportunity to have been around Mr. Evaristo Jimenez, Sr.

We are very sorry to hear about the loss of your dad. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Please accept our sympathy.
My deepest sympathy to all. I am saddened because the last of my uncles departed and went to heaven, and at the same time I know he is in a better place, with our Lord and united with his brothers and sisters. I know that my dad is happy to have his brother there with him so he can have someone to argue with, but above all with respect and lots of LOVE. Thank you Tio for always being an example to all of us and for always taking care of my dad. You will surely be missed. Till we meet again. God Bless
When The Lord calls our loved ones home, he leaves a gift of memories in exchange.
You're in our thoughts, and prayers.
My prayers are with you all as you embark on this pilgrimage in the days to come. Let Varo know of the honor he has graced upon my soul for the privilege of living through his journey guided by the treasure of memories brought forth by all.
May you be enveloped with that moment of tranquility to know that as Varo has embraced so many lives; his journey will continue to embrace even more, and others will comprehend the joy he has given us all.
If it were possible to execute a Mets Championship win as a gift to be bestowed upon a most loyal fan, it would be a gift greatly sought after by those who understood Varo's love of baseball - if only to capture once more the memory of his engaging smile.
We will always remember you, you were very special to my father and to all of us, even if we can't be there with you our thoughts are present , now you are with my father taking care of him like you always did. Our love and heart with you; Carmen Julia &

deepest condolences...I remember back in the 80's When his father showed pride in his eyes when 'Jimmiy' worked on Dad's house on Warren street. No task couldn't be accomplished when Jimmy put his mind to it. I'm sure Dad is playing baseball with the Yankees of his youth. Rod & Ronnie
