Byron and Greg,
In the short time that I knew Evelyn one thing stands out; and that is she knew how to laugh and enjoy life. I'm so glad I got to visit her last summer (2010). She told me "You haven't changed a bit.... well maybe a little." :-) We had a good laugh. I will remember her with a smile and consider myself one of the lucky ones to have crossed her path.
Mrs. Glore was my first grade teacher at James Milton Turner School. She was a wonderful teacher who inspired in her students to be and do their best. My memories of that wonderful year are still fresh. I loved Mrs. Glore because she loved her students. I have carried my love for her in my heart for nearly 60 years. She touched many lives and will live forever in our memories. God has claimed a most beautiful flower for His Heavenly Garden, now all the more sweet and more beautiful.
Byron and Greg,
I apologize for this delayed message.
I'll always remember your mom's lovely
smile and kindness. She was truly a
class act. I hope it gives you some comfort to know she is now resting in
Byron, Gregory, you are very fortunate to have had your mother with you for so many years.
I will always cherish my last visit with Mrs. Glore in Jefferson City Missouri in 2002. She was still quite the hostess with her wonderful conversation and postive attitude. She loved life and everyone. I often think of her as I have started to play Bridge with my retired friends.
Gregory and Byron, you were so blessed to have Mrs. Glore as your wonderful MOTHER.
God Bless you all.
Claire Lockman Boyce,Ph.D.
A friend is a present you give to yourself by being a friend to others. Evelyn was that kind of person. You received a spiritual inspiration from her when she engaged you in conversation. She made you feel that she believed in you and trusted you. We became friends when I joined the St. Ann's Guild at All Saints' Episcopal Church in St. Louis, Mo. She was very welcoming from the moment we met. I missed her terribly when she moved to Jefferson City. She was such a beautiful person and true friend. My heartfelt sympathy to her dear family. I hope you find comfort in knowing that she is now one of heaven's beautiful angels. Stella Hughes

We were more than just friends, we were family, so many years being apart of each others lives.
Apart of each others weddings, God mother to my youngest daughter and Byron, your oldest was almost born in our car when we took you to the hospital. Our lives were filled with so much fun and happiness when together. Our children so fond and caring of each other.
Thank you for being my friend
May light perpetual shine on this dear lady who taught me to read at Turner School. She was no help with my penmanship, but that wasn't her fault. I will cherish my memories of her always.

Byron and Gregory,
Your Mom touched so many hearts and lives and all of us are enriched by it. She had such a loving way of making each person feel loved. Not to mention the way her smile could light up a room. You are so blessed, but as she always said... she was blessed one for the love, care and respect of her sons. She was such a proud Mom. You know how special she was to me and I loved her calling me "my Mom away from home" when we both lived in Jefferson City and Kansas City. I will cherish the times we shared, memories, the card games and most of all the life lessons she taught me.
To the Glore/Ashford family, she so adored you. May the Lord be with you as you celebrate the life and journey of his beautiful child. You have such a wonderful circle of family and friends that will be by your side in prayer. May all the love that surrounds you give you strength. Be kind to your heart. God will handle the rest.
Byron & Greg:
We have maintained a friendship for many years regardless of where we have lived geographically. We ceratinly have this wonderful woman to thank for our seemingly lifelong and enduring friendship. We know that you miss your mom but you can smile because she had a great life and lives on through both of you.

I am so glad I had a chance to enjoy a lovely visit with her this past May, during my visit to Kansas City. It was wonderful to see her looking so beautiful, peaceful, and well-loved. In fact every memory I have of your mom is one filled with grace and beauty. She trully lived a 'blessed' long life in large part thanks to her family- two lovely granddaughters and two wonderful devoted sons.
