I was always in awe at the love and compassion of Mr. And Mrs. Everett Alther, they will always possess a truly special place in my heart.
They always treated me like family, and I was always touched by their undying dedication to family. He will be missed so much, I'm just so sorry that I just discovered this. My love and sympathies go out to the entire family.
Everett and I were good friends for 25 years. There was no one like him. Always working, always positive, always interested in you - his customer and his friend. An inspiration, for sure, but an impossible act to follow. My condolences to his family. Everett was quite a guy, one of a kind.
Gretchen, Sorry to hear of the loss of your grandfather. Although I didn't know him, he sounds like a wonderful man. "Mrs D"
We are saddened to read your dad and grandad's death, but, oh what a life he has had! I have lots of memories of your wonderful parents and all of you. Do you remember the Mitch Miller sing-a-longs the "adults" used to have and your dad pulling out his trumpet? When your mom died we were about to leave for a trip to Don's family, now we are across the country in San Diego so we will miss this party and oh what I party I hope you all have. Take care and condolences to each of you. Love, Sue and Don McConchie (San Diego, CA)
Worked for him at Laffin Supply in Springfield, VT. Part of Twin States Industrial. A wonderful person to work for. God Bless this wonderful man.
I will always cherish the memories of growing up in Edgewood with your family in the 50's and 60's. Everett was like a second father to me. My sympathies are with you all.
