To The Bagnoli Family:
I was just speaking to my CT. cousin who just informed me of Fazio's passing away. I'd like to express my heartfelt condolences. I recall what an achiever, athlete and outstanding student he was. I see he accomplished a lot and contributed much to mankind. Thanks to God for giving all of you the opportunity to share life with this man. God Bless Mike
Mary Ellen and I were shocked and saddened to hear of Faz's passing. Although we had lost touch in the recent years, I always considered him a good friend and a big part of my life growing up in East Haven. We shared many a good day and good nights as we grew from kids to men over the years. I have so many fond memories of Faz: many surrounding middle school and high school, hanging out at the beach, college break adventures, and family events.
I remember one night in 1973 during Christmas break when we partied and bar hopped in New Haven and ended the night with empty pockets, going back to Faz's house for a late night/early morning breakfast. We walked up the driveway just as Pop Bagnoli, carrying his lunch box and wearing his plaid ear-flapped hat, was exiting. He was shaking his head and muttering under his breath. “You know whata tima this is?" his father asked. Faz hesitated for a minute and smiled saying “yeah, pop, it's time for YOU to go to work!” We all laughed. Faz had a great sense of humor. He was a family man and the most decent guy you could ever hope to meet. He will be sorely missed.
My condolences go out to the entire Bagnoli Family.
Sad to see another 1969 football team mate and captain pass away too young. You had a lot of Heart Faz, see you on the other side.

Loren, Kristin & Mike,
We offer our sincere condolences and prayers for your loss. Faz was a great guy who was a joy to work with, whether it be business or youth sports. He was a model to both kids and coaches, and he will be greatly missed. Thanks for that wonderful picture of him.
He was young, just a sophomore at EHHS and fearless. His helmet didn't quite seem to fit but he had a nose for the ball. He worked hard, took pride in his effort, and never quit.
I was so saddened to hear of your loss.
My sincere condolences to the Bagnoli family.
Fazio was a hardnosed kid that worked extra hard at everything he did.
We had alot of laughs at EHHS and together on the football team.

Lori, I am so sorry for your loss. May the wonderful memories help you and the kids through this difficult time.
If you knew Faz, you knew there wasn't anybody who was more faithful to the tenants of life in which he believed in. There isn't anyone I can say that I met or knew in my lifetime that embodied what the word "truth" stood for... more than Faz. He was true to his beliefs, his disciplines in life, to his faith, and his family.
He contributed to life and positively affected all of us. Which is why you always felt good in his company.
He was one of the guys you grew up with that the longer you knew him the more honored and blessed you felt. It's a testimony not only to Faz but extends to his mother and father, his siblings, to his wife Loren, and his children Kristin and Michael.
My hope to Kristin and Michael is that you will have the opportunity and good fortune to know someone who encompassed the virtues your father did. Although your father would be reluctant to take praise because he was humble... always know that your father had the truest of hearts and that in this culture of superlatives... all he ascribed to be in life was a "good man".
Which both of you and your mother can take heart in knowing he was recognized as by all who had the good fortune of knowing him.

We will always remember his wonderful smile, and how very proud he was of his family. He truly adored Lori and his children; a true gentleman. We had the great joy of being at Lori and Faz's wedding, and we were so happy that they were a part of ours! Faz always made you feel that you were the most important person in the room; he was generous, complimentary, and always had a kind word.
Our hearts go out to Lori, Kristin, and Michael. We will always remember him with great admiration.
We are so sad and shocked about the passing of Faz. He was not only a great friend, but a person who made everyone feel special with his kind words and smile. There was no better coach than Faz, and anyone that had the privilege of being coached by him knows how passionate and knowledgeable he was when it came to football. We send thoughts, and prayers for strength to Loren, Kristen, and Michael.
We love you will never forget you Faz.

Met Faz many years after high school. We always knew he was a great athlete then. But little did I know what a kind and considerate man he grew into. He was a very special guy and I was shocked to discover that he had passed. I'm sure his entire family is very proud of him. He convinced me that kindness goes a long way! Thanks Faz!
My deepest sympathies to the Bagnoli family. I went to EHHS with Fazio and will always remember that smile and the warmth that shined through. I am so sorry for your terrible loss. May God bless his soul and may you find comfort in your memories.
Loren, Kristen and Mike,
I have met many individuals in my life, growing up, in the service, college and in business. When Fazio and I graduated from Bridgeport we still, as we were in college, remained in contact and saw and spoke with each other often. He helped me through a very tough time in my life and I felt we were very close. He was my good friend and one that I would get in the trenches with and have during our days playing football. But, I will always remember him as a tough, solid, loyal and good man, that I am very lucky to have him as my GOOD FRIEND. I will miss him as I know many that were touched by Fazio will. Rest in Peace My Friend. Your friend and team mate. Vince "Vinnie" Detore
Faz and I intersected in three separate areas: lighting of Exchange Field, Saint Margaret's Church and business. In all three areas, he was the definition of class, and his passing leaves the world a little less bright. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Bagnoli family.
I was so saddened to read about Fazio's passing. I spent many hours watching Faz and my cousin Bert competing on the gridiron.
I was even more surprised when my wife just told me that the Bagnoli's are relatives on her father's (Lombardi) side.
Faz was a great individual, always came over to me when we were in proximity with a smile, a hug and a handshake.
He wlll be missed. May God bless you in your time of sorrow.

Loren, Kristin & Mike, our sincere condolences and prayers.

Fax was simply one of the finest men I have ever met. I can't believe that he is gone. This world is a little bit less passionate as a result of Faz's passing. I took the reigns from him as the MYF Youth Football President but I could never project the kind of love and passion that Faz's brought to his beloved organization. He was a very, very special man and we will all miss him greatly.
OUR PRAYERS WILL BE WITH THE ENTIRE BAGNOLI FAMILY. FAZ, YOU POSITIVELY IMPACTED THE LIVES OF SO MANY CHILDREN IN THIS TOWN. YOU EXEMPLIFY THE WORDS OF PASSION, FAIRNESS, LOVE AND DEVOTION TO YOUR FAMILY AND THE FAMILIES OF MADISON. YOU WILL BE DEEPLY MISSED.
Mike's name has been added to my daily prayer list. I have asked my brother - Fr. Thomas J. Casey O.S.A. to remember him at Mass. Marlene and I are friends of Flo. Larry Casey
I had a special connection with Faz. He resembled my dad and was as kind and gentle a man as he was. I (we) pray that you, Laurie and your children, know that Faz is at peace and in that special place, called heaven. God bless you.

FAZ WAS A WONDERFUL HUSBAND..FATHER...AND FRIEND....I WORKED WITH HIM AT THE SOUTHERN CT GAS CO....I WILL MISS HIM VERY MUCH....MY THOUGHT AND PRAYERS ARE WITH HIS FAMILY...GOD BLESS THEM....RIP....MY FRIEND.....
My sincerest condolences to Loren, Mike and Kristin, his deeply loved wife and cherished children. Faz, I will miss you dearly every Saturday morning for the rounds you so enjoyed with the four of us, your smiling face and the special times of conversation on the patio before we all headed home. You will be with us always in our hearts and minds.
I first met Fazio in 1974 when I played football at the University of Bridgeport and he was one of my coaches. A strong intense leader. I was an assistant coach with Faz for three seasons of Madison Youth Football. Faz reminded me of my Notre Dame High School football coach Ray Tellier. Faz was a gentleman, leader and teacher. An example for coaches and players. His children went to school with my children and were a testament to their parents. They were on the same singing groups and sports teams. It is only fitting that he and his family would want us to remember him through Madison Youth Football where he made a huge impact and grew those successful players. I am greatly saddened by his passing. I extend my prayers and condolences to his family. God Bless. Mark O'Connor
RIP and thank you for taking care of our boys Brian and Sam.
Fazio was a great person and outstanding friend, who had a profound impact on my life. He will be missed.
