My dad, Frank Sallgren, grew up with Fritz in Shelby. We just found out today that he had passed. My dad's been trying to contact him for the last couple of months, to no avail. He was my dad's oldest friend and a great guy. We were hoping to see him again this summer. We're very sad to hear he's gone.
"Please accept our sympathy for the loss of your dad. I have many great memories of uncle Fritz, and the Hodge family. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Diane and Frank Mottola [Trenton, Illinois]
It was a sad day when I read about the passing of a dear friend, I have known Fritz many years and always considered him a good friend, he will be missed by me and many other members of the VFW Post 6873
Our prayers and thoughts are with you all, during this time. Mr. Hodges was our neighbor for greater than thirty years. He was always so vigorous and active; Mimosa street's own neighborhood watch. We will really miss his smile and wave, and ready greeting. He's already landscaping the heavenly gardens and tending flowers, we're sure. He now is free of pain. May God give you comfort and peace.
I am sorry for your loss, my deepest sympathy.
Our sympathy to you all on the loss of your father. Such sweet memories of all of you. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
I met Fritz at HENDRICK CARDIAC REHAB and enjoyed talking to him and getting to know him. (mainly about politics and Ranger Baseball) I know he will be sincerely missed by his family and my prayers are with them.
May your memories of the wonderful times you shared with your loved one comfort you and your family, today and always.
