Cathy, you probably don't remember me but you grew up across the street from Gloria and I on Haney Drive. I loved your whole family and especially your dad who was always there when I needed someone to talk to after my father passed. He was like a second dad to me. He will be missed by all. You have my deepest sympathy. Douglas Smith (Kanab, Utah)

Cathy, it's been a long time seen we've seen or talked to each other. However, I do remember the great times we had in Memphis with Susan Omer. I also remember the Christmas Party that Frank & Bootsie had one year that I attended. They were both great people. My condolences go out to you and your family during this time.

Cathy and family, I was very saddened to hear of Frank's passing. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. I did not know Bootie but my parents, Floyd and Juanita Russell, did and I remember the light in his eyes when he would mention her when I was in the store. He was a true gentleman and treated everybody with kindness. I remember going into Rone Regency as a teenager and asking for him because that was who my parents dealt with. He always helped me taking what time was needed to explain the differences of one item over another and would work within my budget constraints. Even though I was just a kid Frank never made feel like one. He would always ask how school was or how was I doing and actually listen to the answer. He was genuinely interested in what was going on in my life at that time. Frank had a great influence on me and I have always tried to make sure I treated everyone the same just as he did. My favorite memory of him is the way he would lean back in his chair and hold his glasses with one arm in his mouth as he was thinking of the answer to a question. Again I am sorry that I did not know any of the rest of the family but the memory of Frank is something I will treasure the rest of my life. Curtis Russell {Chattanooga TN}

Cathy and family, please know how we hurt with you in your loss. Frank and Bootie were such good friends and wonderful people. We so enjoyed sitting in front of them at Mass. They fell in love with my son immediately after his birth. As he grew, they became Church GrandMommy and Grandaddy and he often sat with them. I can still see Frank rubbing his little head. We will treasure their memories forever. I, along with Carter offer our prayers for all of you. We wish you peace, and may Church Grandaddy forever rest in peace. Cathy and family,

You are in my thoughts and prayers. I remember you all when we were neighbors in Brainerd and my parents, my brother and I kept in touch with the Varallos for years. My deepest condolences to you and your family.

Sad to hear of Frank's passing. Frank and Bootie were friends and neighbors in Riverview when Nancy and I were raising our boys and I coached John at Notre Dame. Frank always had that smile and of course loved his golf at CGCC. He helped and touched many lives in Chattanooga.Our prayers go out to the Varallo family. May God Bless Frank! Sarah and Rick English

The Notre Dame High School family extends our deepest sympathies and offers our most heartfelt consolation. We remembered him and his family during our Mass this morning doing what we do best - praying. It was sad and it was an honor. Our very best wishes to his entire family!
