Judy & Family-Just heard today about Fred's passing we send our condolences, thoughts and prayers out to all of you. As a member of the Pictou Co. clan, one could not be in or around Pictou and not hear or be aware of "de Decker" and his roustabout buddies and their hi jinks adventures.(Bergie, Merle M. Gary L. Mellie M. etc). These were the "fonz' boys that we younger guys were trying to emulate and get on "the inside track" with .If they said "How's it going?"-or Hi to us when we came into "Eddie's" or "Bill's"-man, our day was made!!!!
Fortunately for all of us that association did more good than harm and by the Grace of God-or good fortune we all did pretty well!!!
I will always remember the twinkle in Fred's eyes when we would meet him and that smile! One never knew just what might occur next in the way of hellery,or fun. We will miss him .his kind heart and ever friendly manner.
Our best wishes to you and your family.
Stewart and Sheila Veniot & Family.
