Still praying every morning for each of you~ Cling to the cross for Jesus is the only thing we have & the only thing we need~
Janell and Joe - Flint and I just learned of your loss. There is no way to adequately express our condolences. We pray that you find comfort in God's continuing grace, and in your memories of Garrett.
Meg and Flint Brenton - and Christopher, Caitlin and Ian-Michael
I didn't know him but that is a terrible way to go. Rest in peace Garrett. And I hope your family can find some sort of consolation in the happy memories you shared together.
My Aggie Corpsman son advised me of the Silver Taps tonight. ~ I have no words, but I do have prayers. Please know I shall include the family of Garrett Cole Luce each morning in my prayers to the heavenly Father. The scripture I leave you with is this~ "Jesus Wept." John 11:35~ "Your cause of sorrow must not be measured by his worth, for then it hath no end." ~Shakespeare
I am so sorry for your enormous loss. I never met Garrett , but since I heard of his loss I have prayed frequently for your comfort. I viewed the you tube entries and you obviously had a beautiful, charming boy. Although it is difficult to get your heart and mind around your loss, I hope you can park at the hope of spending eternity with the Lord and your beloved son. You will dance and sing again with him. What joy you will know at that time. Love to you In Christ.
My kindest thoughts and prayers are with you.
Mary Martin Gant
I met you this summer at a Aggie Mom's meeting. I am praying for you and your family during this almost impossible time. Somehow/someway I don't think Garrett's work is finished on this earth. God still has plans for him and I think his life and memory will inspire others on this earth. I will pray for you daily.
Joe & Janell - I'm so moved by everything I've read about your precious son, Garrett. You two have so much to be proud of. He touched an amazing number of people. The outflowing of love shows me that God's grace is holding you up and gathering Garrett into His arms.
Dear Joe and Janell,

You have both been in our thoughts and prayers since hearing of your loss. May God comfort you now and always.

Joe and Janell,
We were so sorry to hear of the loss of your precious Garrett. I remember seeing you and Garrett at Impressions on Fountainview when he was about six years old. What a precious boy he was - and so well behaved. Having sung in choir at Second Baptist with both of you for so many years, even before we were each married, I know how strong your faith is and we pray that this faith will sustain you during this terrible time. We pray that the Lord Janell sang about so beautifully with the choir on "All Rise" will make Himself feel closer to you than ever before during your time of sorrow.
In His love,
Barbara (Hawkins) Mauldin and husband Joe

I do not know your son, but I came across it as I was reading the paper online and I had to write you. I too lost my son 7 years ago, so I know what you are going through. Just know that you are not alone and I pray that God will bring His peace, that peace that surpasses all other into your hearts and may He comfort you and hold you with His strength.
The Woodlands, Texas
I don't know you or your handsome young son but it certainly seems as though he was raised by wonderful God loving parents. I'm so sorry for your loss. You may experience what God must have felt as God gave His only begotten Son for believers. I feel that Heaven must have shined with much radiance as Garrett entered those pearly gates of Heaven to have received such a special God serving young person. May his special memories remain in your heart forever.
A mother and father couldn't ask for a better son. Our hearts are broken and we will be here if ever you need us. We will continue to pray for your peace and look forward to seeing his beautiful smile again. We love and miss!
Joe and Janell --
My family's prayers go out to you both and all of your family. Garrett will not be forgotten by anyone who knew him or knows you both. God be with you the rest of your lives.
Randy and Cheryl Sorrels
Dear Joe and Janell
I hadn't met your son, but I remember how proudly you spoke of him when we had our Zeta get together in the Woodlands a year or so ago. I am so sorry this has happened and our family will be praying for yours.
Dear Joe and Janell
May our Lord of all comfort fill you and remain by your side.
Lew and Gail Bullion
Dear Mr and Mrs Luce. I never had the pleasure of meeting your son but my daughter Teresa did. All she talked about on her return to Omaha in May from College of Charleston was your son Garrett. She said he was a very good friend to her. He must have been very special because I know he left a long lasting impression on my daughter. I just wanted you to know that my husband and I are praying for your family that you may find peace in Gods love. Sincerely in Christ, Keith and Sharon Cyr Omaha, Nebraska.
Karen and I are heartbroken at the news of your and Janell's loss, but know that our Lord will comfort and strengthen you. We count it an honor to pray for you.
Through pledging the Sigma Chi Fraternity at the College of Charleston with Garrett last spring, I was blessed with the chance to get to know him very well. Garrett was not only a great friend, but also an overall standup guy. He never had a bad thing to say about anyone and was always there to offer support to any of his friends. There is no way for me to truly express my gratitude for having known Garrett and sorrow in losing him. In my heart, Garrett will always be a best friend and a brother. My prayers go out to Mr. and Mrs. Luce.
Janell and Joe, We are so sorry for the loss of your beautiful son. He was so talented and accomplished but more important he belonged to Christ. We pray for you to feel the peace of Christ that passes all understanding. We all look forward to seeing Garrett's sweet smile again in heaven. Our love. Sharon and Doyle Toups
We didn't know Garrett, but we are friends with his Uncle Gary and we just wanted the Luce family to know our class has been and will continue to be praying for God's perfect peace as you move through the days ahead.
May God bless you and keep you.

Joe and Janell,
I am deeply saddened for the loss of Garrett, and I know that you all are clinging to Christ in this moment. I wanted to say that I still remember when Garrett and Scott were in one of my morning classes my first semester teaching. Those two were like peas in a pod, and Garrett was such a joy to have in class. I was fortunate enough to have taught him in class, and it was so good to see him when he came back from time to time. My family has been fervently praying at the feet of Christ for his comfort to overwhelm you and his presence to be felt every hour of the day. The Chancey family sends our condolences and love.
In Christ amazingly powerful and unending love,

I pray that God wraps you and yours in love and light... Know that you will be prayed for...
