I still have a small wooden chair that Uncle Sam made me. All 8 of my grandchildren have loved this chair. My 3 year old grandson, Nate, loved it too much and I have had to hide it for now! I love you, Uncle Sam!

Sam & I had a few things in common, the most obvious was our 'unique' sense of humor. You may not know this, but we're both 'Closet' alumni of Corn'Y'ell University. EH! His Generous spirit and Hospitable nature were second to none. That was never more evident, then when he would take me in the backyard to get some of his home grown Hot RED Peppers. I told him he's the reason why I'm so full of Hot Air. To his dear Becky,& all his extended family, Ramona & I send our deepest sympathies,& look forward to the fulfillment of Revelation 21:3-5. To Y'awl: Numbers 6:24-26

Sam Allred was one of the finest Christian Gentlemen I have ever had the privilage of knowing or being associated with. He has now joined that heavenly choir, singing around the throne of his heavenly Father.

I did not know Mr. Allred personally, but I had the joy to work with one of his children -Sharon. I'm sure many of the endearring qualities Sharon possesses was passed on to her from her father. The wonderful man Mr. Allred was will live on in the fond memories of his family and those close to him. My prayers are with you all.

What a beautiful memorial to Mr. Allred and a celebration to his many years of life! The photos were so full of familial expressions of love. May you all find comfort in one another and reflect on the many enjoyable experiences you have all shared. With deepest affection and love, your brother and sister in Faith

Heaven just started singing along with the best Tenor voice heaven has experienced as Uncle Sam and his brothers broke out in song as they always did when they gathered together...even trying to out do each other at the same time. Remember so much the laughter around a kitchen table as they all told their best jokes only again trying to best out the other brother. My Mom Gladys never quite approved of her brothers arrogance, Ha Ha since this was often after a relatives's funeral, but that was how the Allred family kept a member's life alive and trying to remember the life of this person and the joy they brought to them. Uncle Sam, you were always a joy and my Mom's beloved brother who she loved so much. Any family members can contact me at jkeller25@juno.com. Would love to hear from you. Jane Allred Myers Keller

Although I did not know Mr. Allred personally, my life has been blessed for many years by one of his lovely offspring. I see his joy and brilliant spirit shining not only in all the photos, stories, and recollections, but also through the life of my dear and delightful friend – Sharon. The love and affection that he showered on his entire family is so obvious and evident in the adoration and devotion that is abundantly and joyously reflected back on him. Sharon, it must seem as though a light in your life has dimmed for now, but with every thought of him, with every memory, you keep his light alive and vibrant. My thoughts are with you and all of your beautiful family. Big Hugs.

Another "GIANT" of the faith has been promoted. Sam's life was dedicated to service for his Lord and love for his family. 1975 was a benchmark year in his ministry when he joined the ministerial team at Glenwood Friends Meeting. For the next 39 years his presence, wisdom, spiritual guidance and yes that great "Irish Tenor" voice blessed and enhanced the lives of all who knew him. Our prayers go out to the family and we pray for the comfort of the Holy Spirit during this difficult time. Thank you Sam for making a difference in my life and I look forward to the day when I will be reunited with you and many other "Heros of the Faith" that have been a part of the ministry in which you played such a great part.

To the Allred Family,
As we look through the many years of family pictures, we see a happy family that enjoys life. Death is a 'sting' that interferes with happiness, but only momentarily. Remain faithful and await the promise of everlasting life. It is an honor for us to know you as a family. And Becky, what a joy and pleasure for us to know you and your children.

I have such sweet memories of my Uncle Sam...his dry, corny humor, dedication to family and his AMAZING tenor voice. I loved him and will miss the phone conversations that I was able to have with him before his weakness.

Sam was a kind and unasuming man. I honor his memory: a strong man of Christian faith and character, no doubt. With great respect and appreciation of his contributions through singing to ease the pain of losing a loved one,Sam was always ready and willing to help where he could and his singing would brighten a sad or gloomy day. Time will ease the pain of our loss, but time will not remove our treasured memories; for, "he, too, was a rose of light"

Another soldier has gone home and our loss is great. My children would call him the candy man when they were small for Sam always shared the candy in his pockets with them and the other children at church every Sunday. His music ministry and his love for God and God's Word endeared him to our hearts. My deepest sympathies to his family.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Sam Allred. He was a kind and gentle man but a strong man of Christian faith and character. I can still her him tell his stories of the years in service during World War II which he would often tell at Quaker Men's Meeting. I know he is in heaven this moment singing praises to his King with the holy choir of angels. Our deepest Sympathies, Eric, Karen, ALex and Katena Morrison
