Geoff,
I attended your memorial and signed the guest book but I was only able to write just a few words The line was very long waiting to do the same and didn't really have the time to say what I wanted to. My years at Fox were from 1983 to 1993 and you made my time there the best job I would ever have. Nothing before or since has come close and you had everything to do with it. I had to come Los Angeles from San Antonio to be a rock star but when that that dream was over I wondered, what do I do now? Somehow I was able to get a job at Fox and found myself in the Ad/Pub Warehouse. We handled all the promotional materials to all the movies and we were one floor down from you but you included us at all the primieres and after parties. You made us part of the Geoff gang. There I was mingling with all the movie stars. Sometimes I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming. What was even more incredible was that I was getting paid to do it. Heck, I would've done it for free. And it was all because of you. I will always remember inviting you and Richard Ingber to my place way back when for the Sugar Ray Leonard/ Marvin Hagler fight and you actually came. Even though you were a big exec your were a regular guy. I also remember the only food I had was just hot dogs, chips, drinks and not much else but you made it a point to come up to me and say "good dogs Ed". For some reason I will never forget that and I will never forget you. Everything that was said about you at your memorial was right on. I wish you could've been there to hear it. I wish I could've said goodbye. You left us way too soon and you will be missed.
Rest in peace big guy.
