He was such an accomplished man. I was proud to call him my father-in-law. I will not only remember his brilliance but the sparkle in his blue eyes and his quick wit. He was very funny and charming. I wish our children had more years with their grandfather but I know Geoff cherished the times spent with them very much. You will be greatly missed Grandpa Geoff and we love you very much.
Dear, dear Bongsoon and family,
I am deeply sorry for your loss, and both my parents (Joyce and Leslie) and I are sending our most sincere sympathies to all of you.
Dearest Bongsoon and the Zubay Family, What a very talented, accomplished and special man Geoffrey was! I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
What a fine and wonderful man Geoffrey Zubay was, and what sad news to learn of his passing. My heart goes out to Bongsoon, who cherished him so deeply.
I knew of Prof. Zubay through his exceptional wife who was the head my school from the time I was 3 until I graduated high school. Later as a chemist, I have come to appreciate his seminal contributions to basic research and his great service by crafting one of the foundational textbooks in biochemistry. He will surely be missed by his family, but he will also be missed by the greater scientific community. Best wishes, and thank you for a wonderful life.
I am so, so sorry to hear of Geoffrey's passing. My sincerest sympathies to Bongsoon, Geoffrey Jr and the whole zubay family. Bill Truffa & family (CFO at Berkeley Carroll School 1990 - 1997).
The Berkeley Carroll School community sends our deepest sympathies to the family. Geoffrey and Bongsoon will always be a part of our school. Through Bongsoon, Geoffrey gave so much to the school and its students. The Zubay family is in our thoughts.
So many wonderful memories of summers spent in Braywood, Michigan with the Zubay and McCracken families and having a school girl's crush on Geoff and awed by his brilliance.
