Thier is not a day go by that I don't think of my dad. He made me what I am today, I love you dad.
A while later and we still think of George and his positive contribution to our lives.
We always appreciated Mr. Askins for his kindness and helpfulness to us when we visited the store. We especially remember how he would honor his customers by posting their birthdays and other special occasion dates on his sign. Mr. Askins will be missed greatly. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this time. The Saliba Family
It was my honor serving such an amazing man as George. I'm thrilled that he is finally celebrating in heaven. He deserves the very best and it is now his.
My dad was the greatest man I will ever know, he taught me everything that it takes to be a father and a man. I hope and pray that I can be half the man my father was. I love you dad, your son
George was, and is, a highlight in our years here at Due West, doing what he could to help. Fond memories of being with him, either him loading our yard equipment on his trailer or when he worked in his store. Wonderful family.
George Askins was my Pawpaw. As a little girl, I looked to him to play. To love. As a young girl, he was one of my biggest fans. From school to sports, he always was proud of me. As a young adult, he helped me no matter how many times i fell on my face. And the last few years before he died, he kept reminding me to stay in the grace of the Lord and always turn to him. Always lean on him and never question him. Its because of him that my relationship with the Lord continues to grow every day. So today, as an adult, I look to him with admiration for the man he was and will forever be in my heart. I'll never forget that voice saying "Hey Taters" when i walked in to see him. Now I have two amazing angels watching over me and my family...Sr and Jr. I promise to stay "forever in his grace" Pawpaw. I love you, Taters
