Dear Mehan Family, We came to meet George at the Cedars and over the years grew to know & love him and Lil. What a classy, wonderful couple. George, always patting Lil on the hand in assurance. Makes us wish we had known them earlier in life! Will miss him offering those doughnuts. Our heartfelt sympathies to you, his family, of whom he was greatly proud. Gary and Mary Ott
The phone call telling me of George's death was a said one. I have many good memories but especially of the CD's George made for me. The Mehan family is in my prayers.

Sorry to hear about the passing of your dad. Sending hugs to you. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
I was sadden when my brother,Terry Moffitt, told me of George's death. George Mehan was a wonderful man. He was a great friend to our father, Bill Moffitt. George and Lillian were very special friends of our parents, Bill and Dolores. I always enjoyed seeing George and remember his smile and dry wit. May your happy memories of him bring you a measure of comfort and peace.

Uncle George was the older brother of my Dad, Judge Richard Mehan, Sr. who passed away in December, 2013. Dad always told a story of going to his older brother's house a few blocks away at 3:00 a.m. on Christmas morning years ago..in the snow.. to borrow a single piece of Lionel train track so that Santa Claus could finish putting the train set together for us.
Our grandpa, Dr. George Mehan,Sr., who was a WWI vet, visited Germany in the 1930's...and came home and told Uncle George and Dad that "you guys are going to have to fight the Germans." He was right...and Uncle George was awarded 6 Bronze Stars.
Uncle George has now joined his "Roomie" and Uncle Don in heaven.

Our love will be deeper
Our lives will be fuller
Because we shared your moment"
How special our fathers are to us and what great Heavenly rewards await such fine men.
Love and prayers to you Terry and your lovely, loving family.
We are out of town so I won't be able to come by. I will be praying for the family. I remember all those great times I babysat for the family many years ago and your father was so kind he even walked me home. (3 houses away).
So sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad. It was my honor to be his friend, at Liberty, and I cherish some of our meetings. His influence was always positive. May he R.I.P.
Very special person. Truly enjoyed working with him at Southwest Bank.
Dear Dad, thank you for the wonderful example you showed me all of your life. You were a wonderful role model to your children, a loving, caring husband to Mom, and a man of great faith and love of our God.
No one is ever "ready" to lose a parent, but his life lessons and his love will be part of his children always. My thoughts are with you during this transition.
