My deepest sympathy for the loss of such a charming and multi-talented lady. It was always a great pleasure seeing and talking to her when visiting relatives in Washington. I will treasure these moments.
May you turn to God,whose understanding is beyond measure, and so is his power to help us in any situation we find ourselves in. Psalm 147:5
My prayers and thoughts are with you at this time of sorrow. May the God of comfort extend peace to this family. (2Cor.1:2-4)
a feisty, interesting, charming lady - challenging to work with on stage and off. KB
My parents knew the Lavitan family from the 1940's on and greatly admired Gladys. When she taught Women of the Bible at the Shepherd Center, I drove from Raleigh every week to take my mother. It is a poignant memory of Gladys and my mother.
I was very sorry to hear about Ms. Lavitan. I met her at Eckerd Drugs while I was working there. She was such a delight. I will miss her greatly. Joanne at Long's Drugs.
A great loss. She made Sunday School entertaining and educational.
I am so sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in those you love and from the power of God's Word. Jeremiah 29:11,12 always makes me feel better :)
My condolences to the Lavitan Family.
May her memory long endure for a blessing. She was a wonderful and sweet lady...and even though I only met her very recently I enjoyed knowing her for the short amount of time that I knew her. May she rest in peace and may her name live on in the hearts and minds of those she leaves behind. May G-d comfort her family and friends. Zi' chrona L" Vracha.
