To the Enciso family, Greg and I were in the same new hire class at TWA in 1996. Our whole class was both excited and nervous to be accepted into such a prestigious airline. To me Greg stood out from the rest of us because he was a natural leader and had a personality that invited you to be friends with him. Those qualities made Greg exceptional. I wish I knew more people like him.

Last night when I was reading the LSJ and saw Greg's obituary. Needless to say when we were saddened. John and I always enjoyed Greg's humor and sincerity and well, for my husband a shared love of Michigan. Our son Joe & and daughter Michelle played Chill soccer with Garratt and Whitney. Joey & Michelle were both genuinely sadden to hear of Greg's death. Just wanted Garratt and Whitneynto know that we were thinking of them and keeping them in our hearts. I have so many awesome memories of my time spent with Greg and the Enciso family.I have known them for 40'some years. It was truly a blessing to have so many just plain fun days with all of them. The stories are countless. Greg was one of the nicest guys I have ever met. As children and into adulthood, I will always be grateful to have known and spent time with him. I am so sorry that we all lost a great man and friend.

We were very saddened to hear of Greg's passing. We have been following your's and Greg's journey through this awful disease which claims so many. He was very courageous. I am very happy that he was able to say goodbye to his family and friends the way he wanted to. He isn't sick anymore, he's healthy up in heaven looking down on us all. Celebrate his life every day. We pray for courage and acceptance for all of you. God bless you.-Jackie and Gill Quinn

Love is Patient, Love is Kind, Love Endures All Things…

Diego and Suzy,
You made it possible for all of us to share in Gregs last moments.
To be able to extend love and friendship one last time.
And to do it in unity.
What a gift!
Thank you.

I have written this down because I have been so greatly moved by what I was witness to in the Enciso home. Greg completely blew me away with his outpouring of love to each and every person who walked through that door.
He was truly selfless in allowing us into his very last moments. Knowing, how important it would be for our grief; and for our healing. He understood and HE took care of US.
He rallied to give each and every one of us a smile. He shook hands, he hugged, he laughed, he posed for pictures and he joked…yes, still joking….

Greg Never Let Go of Life

Life Let Go of Greg

And so we move on.
We move on knowing that Greg was blessed with a family that made all of this possible.
A family that loved unconditionally, fully, and without reservation.
A family that put the love they have for one another above everything else.
A family that took us all in, and made us family.
I am honored.
Thank You.

I only met and knew you briefly, but even just that small time made an impact. I admire your love for family and strength because of them. You will be greatly missed. It was far too soon.

Greg was always there when we needed him, He helped with everything that was going on with Bette when Bob was in Arizona. When Bob came home Greg was there to help as well. He always lightened the mood, even tho he wasn't feeling the best himself. I know I didn't know him well but what I knew of him he was an amazing man, we were blessed to have him with us on earth until god brought him back home to him! Thank You Greg for all you have done, You will be forever missed...

Laughter, fun, teasing, card games and family. All of my memories of you include these things. You always knew how to make everyone feel special and made friends wherever you went. You had the dream to fly and never let go of it or let anything get in the way of that dream. You lived a short but full life and you were always up for an adventure. We love you and will miss you always.

I have very fond memories of Greg as a fun-loving free spirit during his visits to little sis Suzanne while she and I attended the University of Michigan in the late '80s. We always knew it would be a fun weekend when Greg was planning to visit :)

Please know that my thoughts are with the entire Enciso family in this time of grief. My condolences.

The best trip I ever had was with Greg. I still snicker and giggle at the humor and attitude he brought along on his trips. I have, and will continue to use the example he set on how to be a a great captain.

Greg was too young to lose this battle; but he was a warrior through all of it, and the love and support that his family has shown is an inspiration to all. May peace surround all of those that he left behind, until you all see each other again. Much love and comfort to the entire Enciso family.

Dearest Family,

I didn't know Greg but I knew several people who loved him dearly. I feel blessed to have been witness to his impact on those who loved him. I'm grateful that through his journey, I was reminded of what friendship really looks like. My family is praying for you during this most difficult time. We trust that the Lord will give you peace and strength to sustain you as you begin the walk of grief. Know that Greg touched the world and that although his physical body is gone, his spirit remains forever. Have confidence that you will see him again. You will see him again. Our sincerest condolences. The Mesfin Johnson family.

Stacy Hind&Olivia Hind, I'm always going to remember when we went berry picking together and i talked you into leaving because my back was going out from bending over for 3 hours picking berries in Oregon. I remember thinking that the other workers were crazy when they started cheering when it started pouring down raining. Sore back and rain, not a good combination. As we collected our small but better than nothing change. We started walking out,and they noticed us leaving and they were trying to get us to come back, and i said RUN GREG!!!!And we took off running. My mom laughed when i told her that we started running. Those workers don't get paid enough for working that hard in the fields.S.H.

You were the best brother that I could have asked for and you packed so much into your 47+ short years. You saw more of the world than most even dream of. Had I known I would lose you so soon, I would have tried to take a few more vacations with you and made a few more flights with you.

Everytime I take off on a flight now, I will enjoy the view for both of us.

Very happy that you are no longer in pain. The pain is now mine to bear.

I love you and miss you terribly already.

Matt
