We love you Pappaw Inky! We all have so many special memories with you. Thanks for being such a great Pappaw and thank you for teaching me a love for math...I'm forever grateful!!
Such wonderful tributes from loving friends & family ! Sorry for your loss.
I hung out at the Smith household since the sixth grade. Even though Harlan didn't talk a lot , he listened. Oh yes, he did. Even with his hearing aids on. He always knew what was going on with the kids at his house.
Even as a mathaphobe, I loved for Mr. Smith to come to my school. The math teachers were nervous, but Harlan was my friend.
My heart goes out to all of his family. He was a PawPaw to be proud of. I love you all, Teri Davis
Harlan was a very kind and good man I first met him in 1965 when I started my teaching career . I always will remember his classroom visits and his positive attitude and help or suggestions. He helped me to become a better teacher. My condolences to all of his loved ones.
Just wanted to tell you how much Michelle, Logan, Justin, and I love you. You will be missed. I'm glad the boys got to know such a "great" great-grandfather.
