Catherine and I were saddened upon receiving information relative to the death of Harold. Our family had known him along with his parents and siblings for several generations in the Wedingtom community and Weddington United Methodist Church.
Harold certainly leaves a legacy of success in business and service to his fellow citizens. As a veteran myself, I commend him for his long period of service during World War II and his service in combat.
We extend our condolencesd to the family.
I was so saddened to hear of Uncle Harold's passing earlier this week. He was such a special and good man. Our thoughts and prayers are with his children, grandchildren and loving wife at this time.

Men of the WWII era have provided such a strong foundation for our society. Mr. Harkey will surely be missed by his friends and family. May his family find peace during this difficult time and comfort in the realization that they honored and surrounded him with love.
Mr. Harkey was one of the most knowledgeable, generous and considerate people I've ever been privileged to be associated with. His professionalism and genuine rapport with his employees and clients as well as the love he had for his family personified what a down-to-earth, kind man he was. May many happy memories comfort his family in their time of loss.
What an awesome life he had and such a legacy he has left. My prayers are with you all.
What a loving and wonderful father and husband. I have enjoyed hearing the wonderful stories about Mr. Harkey for years. My love and prayers are with you, Mrs. Harkey and all of your family. Bonnie, Adam and Jenny, you are in my thoughts and in my heart.
Harold was such a sweet and kind man and will be greatly missed. He fathered four wonderful daughters and his memory and legacy will live on in them and all his grandchildren.
Our deepest sympathies to Butch and all of your family.
