The American Legion family send their condolences and prayers to Harold Placette's family. We honor the service to God and country provided by Harold Placette.
Harold was a wonderful man and a very delightful person to be around. We were in Sertoma together and he and my father, W.J. Thompson were very good friends. I know my dad will miss him as well as I as well as the many friends he made over the years. With deepest sympathies for the Placette family from the Thompson Family.
I am so sorry for you loss.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
May your memories bring you comfort
Mr. Harold was my neighbor for many years before me and my family moved to Mauriceville. He was the kindest, most loving man. I really enjoyed listening to his many Pearl Harbor stories. He was also great with my children. They loved him dearly. Any time they saw him outside, they would run to go talk to him. Those memories will be with us forever. He will truely be missed.
So sorry to learn of Mr. Placette's passing. He was a very kind man. Prayers to his family and friends.
My prayers are with you and your family.May GOD strengthen you and your family.
Our hearts go out to the entire Placette family and friends. My father Robert C. Loftis sends his thoughts and prayers and was deeply sadden of the news of Harold's passing. They became shipmates and friends on the Phelps when my father served on the Phelps from 1942 to 1945 and continued a friendship many years latter at all USS Phelps DD360 ship mate reunions every 2 years. It was my greatest honor to be a part of the last reunion with Harold in St. Louis in 2007.
Great honor is deserved to those who served in WWII.
May Our Loving and Merciful Savior welcome Harold into His heavenly kingdom and grant him eternal rest. May Our Lord also give comfort, peace and strength to all of the Placette family to carry them through this sorrowful time.
