Miss Hoover was a dedicated instructor and friend to me after I graduated from Stephen Decatur. She had a profound faith in God and thoroughly enjoyed teaching. She challenged me and this helped me to always want to be challenged in my life pursuits. She will be missed.

Ms. Hoover was a wonderful teacher; so patient. Class of 1982 SDHS
One of the best teachers and classes I remember from SDHS - I sing the praises of Miss Hoover often - especially when colleagues marvel at my typing skills. Many thanks to a wonderful teacher!
She was an inspiration and a lovely lady. RIP
She was gracious and taught me a skill that I use daily. Thank you and RIP Ms. Hoover.
Mrs.Hoover will be missed by many Stephen Decatur students. She was a very nice and loving teacher. Thanks for teaching me typing and I was blessed to have you as a teacher R.I.P. BJ. class of 83
Had the best time in her typing class! What a wonderful lady she was!!!
Hazel was perhaps the most gracious colleague I have ever known. While it was Evelyn Bunting who taught me how to type, I would have to agree with Dan Mumford who said that the single greatest skill ever taught in high school was typing, and who better to learn that skill from than Hazel. I'm the better for having known her. Godspeed Hazel.
Definately a wonderful teacher that touched many lives as well as teaching many a student a valuable lesson - one that we obviously use daily. Rest in Peace Mrs. Hoover.

Class of 1984
She was one of my best teachers at Stephen Decatur and guided me to the state title of Mr. Future Business Leader of America. She always put forth the extra steps to make her students excel. My deepest sympathies to her family. She will be missed.
An inspiration to all of her students.
Miss Hoover was my Typing 1 teacher at Stephen Decatur High School in the mid-60's. Of all the classes I took in high, typing was the most valuable and important to my career as a lawyer and judge! Thank you, Miss Hoover!!! God Bless you!
Sorry to learn of Ms. Hoover's passing.
She always spent the extra time and offered her assistance in each class that she taught. I learned how to type and prepare myself for those college essays and graduate seminars, typing up papers and notes. Thank you Ms. Hoover for your patience and attention.
The class of 1970 at Stephen Decatur adored and appreciated you.
I owe you a great deal for learning how to type in your high school class of 1975. What a valuable skill in the computer age.
Rest in peace and thank you!
