Dear Megan: I am sadden to hear about Hank's passing..I worked with your father in the mid 80's at the U.S. Port of Entry, Hank was a good friend always having a positive attitude about life and dreaming of retirement.
Hank was a great person, and will be missed by many..God bless you.
Dear Megan: The obituary in The Sun gave me more insight into your father's active life. I had known him and your mother when we attended Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church. Last December Hank joined Christ Luteran Church after 12 weeks of study about the Lutheran church and its views. He was happy with his decision, attended services almost every Sunday and sat with Laura Aldridge and myself in the same pew in the rear of the church. Following service we also attended a Bible Study class for one hour. As usual he always had his pen out and constantly took notes. He was an avid scholar all his life. I am thankful for the time we were able to be together. He was a private individual and we never wanted him to feel we were prying. I know he is up in Heaven now (probably taking notes) and looking down on us.
The funeral service was so beautiful; taseful and elegan like the man himself.
Laura and I sat together this morning and we sure missed his presence. Your dad was a wonderful person.
