Imagine my surprise when my Christmas card to Hubie was returned today... my worst fear confirmed as I found out he passed away over 2 months ago. I can only say he was the coolest dad (other than Dick Brown) I have ever known. How fortunate for you to have had such a man in your life! My deepest sympathy goes out to you... all it takes now are tears and time - Greg Brown
Tracy, what a beautiful tribute to your dad. He sounds like a wonderful guy! Thinking of you, sending love and prayers to you and your family. Hugs...
I'm gong to feed several stray cats in Hubie's honor! So sorry, Tracy. But how beautifully you described his very rich life.
So very sorry to hear about Hubie. What an inspiration he was - taking his daily walks on our street, and sometimes he would even take a little jog! We sure loved having Hubie and Shirley as neighbors here on Nimrod Trail. Our son Miller will never forget the joy of having candy from Hubie and Shirley - what fun! We will certainly feed and adopt any stray cat (plenty still in the neighborhood) - in Hubie's honor. With deepest sympathy, Melissa, Monte and Miller Krause
I was very sorry to hear of his passing this afternoon, Hubie was a great man with a great heart. He was truly the luckiest man on earth. I was fortunate to grow up next door to Hubie and his wife, Shirley. I will never forget the afternoons we spent flying on the flight simulator from DFW to LaGuardia, or the time we spent playing chess. Hubie instilled in me a love of flying, photography, and much more. I know he will live on in my heart as well as in many others, may he rest in peace.
Your father's obituary describes a wonderful man who clearly had his life priorities in good order. My late father would have liked to trade flying stories with him I'm sure! May he rest in peace and our prayers are with you.

Hubie and Shirley were dear friends of our parents, and they will be fondly remembered.
What a sweet obituary. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, Christy.
