Jim was a mentor to me as a young account man at D'Arcy. When I started, he began to receive many of my phone calls since our last name was so similar. Jim was the consummate gentlemen and a man of class. I think he always knew what was truly important in this life. I had lunch with him this past summer and I am so glad I took the time to do that. He set a standard for many of us to follow and I will always remember him fondly. Keith Ulrich
Dear Kathy, I heard about the loss of your dear husband Jim through our mutual friend, Connie Stephenson. I am so very sorry. Judy Norwood
Dear Katherine and Family,
I am so sorry to learn of your loss. Please accept my deepest sympathy and know I will be thinking of you during this difficult time.
Jim was my first boss in the advertising business when I came fresh out of Michigan State University in Marketing.
He was such a mentor and an incredible account man who taught me how to create great relationships with all my clients.
He also loved and supported MSU and we had a great time discussing sports and major events.
He had great writing skills and also knew how to have fun with clients and friends alike.
He will be missed by all. A true mentor to me!
I didn't know him well, but I remember him as a very good man. Our deepest sympathies.

To the Aldrich Family,
I am so very sorry for your loss. I met Jim back in the 70s when I started in the ad biz at D'Arcy. He was a genuine guy who had a heart of gold and a good sense of humor. He was a great friend and colleague who I will always remember with a smile.
We have all lost a great guy...a true friend, a smart businessman, a red-white-and-blue patriot. He made even the gnarliest work problems seem like fun. I miss him already and always will.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Jim was a great man, who brought joy to those around him and will be missed. We are all better people for knowing him."

The Seaman Family
For the 35 years I've known him, Jim has been a consummate gentleman, collaborative business associate, all around fun companion and an ethical citizen of a Country he loved. He was a staunch supporter of his extended family, the Spartan Nation and everything Conservative. Jim will be sorely missed by all of us fortunate enough to have shared his loyal friendship.
Dear Lisa & Jim,
I know I only met you briefly, however, in those few moments I could feel the love that you had for your father. Just the way that you remembered me from only meeting me once and from the handshake I could tell your father raised you well. I send my prayers to all of you at this time. A priest said to me 29 yrs ago, "To want them back is to be selfish as you would ask them to be suffering, let them go in peace." That has kept me going all these years. God bless you all on this sad journey. It will be like a roller coaster but I know that with family and friends you will conquer this. God bless you all.
