Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

Dear Alford family,
I was so sorry to hear of Mr. Alford's passing. He was a very kind-hearted man with a sweet spirit. Hang on to all the wonderful memories and cherish them! After a while, you will be able to smile when you think of him.
To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord!
You kids were blessed with dynamic parents who always made an impact on those around them. James Alford did so much for the City of Port Wentworth through the Jaycees and participating in the Stand Up For America Day parades. I'm thinking that heaven's a happy place with so many of Port Wentworth's movers and shakers there.
I'm truly sorry for your loss. There's so much of him in all of you that should help comfort you in the days ahead. Just wait until you see James' personality pop out in the grands and great-grands.
Troy, Becky and Alford Family,
My most heartfelt sympathy to you. I know how much he meant to his family and will be greatly missed. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
We will see Papa again! He was loved very much and will be missed.

I know first hand how profound a loss it is when you realize the he will no longer be there for all the events in your life.
