I have not seen Jim since he retired from Caterpillar in 2001, but I saw him nearly every day before he retired. He was very dedicated to doing an excellent job, especially when it came to the saw room. He had pride in his work that was obvious to everyone. He was never shy about raising an issue that could help perform the job better; always focused on the customer. We will miss you Jim. Thanks for your dedication and commitment to Caterpillar. May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
Carol and family: I was so shocked by the passing of Jim. He was a great friend. He could talk your leg off but always enjoyed talking to him. I know it is a very difficult time now, but you will always have wonderful memories of one of the greatest and most caring man on this earth. I feel honored to have worked and known him. He will be missed by so many.

I will miss Jim's smile and the twinkle in his eyes.
He was so friendly and nice to everyone and will be missed in our family gatherings.
May God be with you now and in the future days as the memories bring tears to your eyes.

I feel sorry for your loss. Even though Joyce and I played together for several years in elementary school I never really got to know Jim. I was so impressed when I heard of the amount of time he spent with Phil Kelly in his final days. He was a true friend to many. I'm sure he will be missed. Jeanne Rosenbohm Fort Worth TX.

Words can't begin to express the sorrow in our hearts over Jim's sudden and unexpected death. He was such a great guy to be around. He always greeted us when we pulled into the Springfield State Fair campgrounds and offered to help us get set up. He loved to be around people and his smile and good nature were infectious. Our hearts go out to you Carol and the boys. I can't even begin to imagine your pain right now, but know that Jim was loved by so many and will be forever in our hearts. Hope to see you on Saturday.
