You and your family have been in our prayers.
Jim's great and positive spirit has been missed. I wanted to tell you my favorite story that explained so much about his character.
Approximately 10 years ago Anne and I visited Virginia Tech as a possible school for Eric to attend. I have been on many college campuses due to sports and travel. During our day walking the campus, visiting the student union, and attending a football game, both Anne and I couldn't believe how friendly everyone was. VA Tech was truly the friendliest campus I have ever experienced.
After the visit, I saw Mr Bishop and told him how impressed we were with good ole VPI. He stated the following:
Well, when I attended the school as a cadet you had to greet everyone. You had to not only greet everyone, you had to ask how they were doing too. Even if a dog crossed your path, you had to say, " Hello dog, how are you today?"
That story says so much about Mr. Bishop and his great, friendly character.
May God bestow his blessings on you and your family at this sad time.

Cile - It is with much regret and sadness that we are having to send this note of sympathy to you and your family. Jim was such a wonderful Christian man and we feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to enjoy his friendship for so many years. May God comfort each of you during your time of grief.

Dear Cile and Family, Words aren't adequate enough to express our sympathy to you at this time. We shall always remember the good times we shared together. Jim was a kind, witty, gentleman and servant of the Lord and will be missed by all who knew him. May you find peace and solace in the sweet memories of your life together at this time.
