Jim and Pam,
We are saddened to hear of Jimmy's unexpected passing. He was a kind and honorable person. We are thinking and praying for you during this difficult time.
Jim and Pam,
I remember Jimmy as a smiling, outgoing, and caring teenager. He could always make you feel happy and loved. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. I pray the Spirit will be with you to comfort and buoy your family at this difficult time of great loss. With love,
I knew Jimmy years ago, playing football and attending high school with him at White Station. We lived in the same neighborhood and he was a very close friend to me and my younger brothers. He was so genuine, so funny and he never had a bad word to say about anyone. He and I stayed connected via Facebook and I am so proud of the man he became, as a proud husband, daddy and soldier. My sincere thoughts and prayers are with his family and I pray they will be able to rest in the peace that Jimmy is at home with Christ. GBP.

To my Brother in Arms. I won't forget the times that we had. Goodbye old friend.
Lauren and family,
We are sorry for the loss of a great friend and battle buddy. I remember when I first met Jimmy; July 2007, 632 was preparing for our deployment. I was just a young 21 year old not knowing anything about the Army. Knowing that Jimmy was there made all the difference. He was able to help me get through our tour 07-09. During our time overseas, Jimmy had something that I liked about him. He was a man of character, a man of faith. We want to thank you and your family for letting him be part of our lives. Me and Candy want to thank you both for being there during our times of hardships. You both have been a true inspiration in our lives and we hope to follow the same walk of faith you both have shared with us.
Brian and I and our girls sends our love and prayers to Lauren and her family. You are always on your mind and were always here for you! God Bless and May the great Spirit and Jimmy be always wrapping their arms around you.
My deepest thoughts, prayers, and condolences go to you Lauren and your three children! We love you all very much and Jimmy will always be with you in every step, every breath and every aspect of your day! He was a wonderful father, husband and friend and we will miss him deepely
Jimmy was a great man from a wonderful and loving family. I know he touched many lives with his caring, his sense of humor and his love for his country. It is hard to imagine not seeing him again but I am reminded he is alive in the hearts and memories of so many people and he is with The Lord now and is smiling down on us all. Jimmy will forever be a hero and one day his family and friends will be reunited with him in heaven.
Dear Fleming Family: Our Thoughts and Prayers are with you.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family during this difficult time. Jimmy was a good man and a good friend. He will be truly missed by all.
We are so thankful the Lord allowed us to share several years with Jimmy. We will always remember his humor, his gentleness, his patriotism, his sacrifices for our freedom, and his passion to be a great husband to Lauren and loving father to Meaghan, AJ, and Josh. His life will serve as a constant reminder to us to see the lighter side of life and enjoy it more. Lauren, your faith is a witness to the world that Christ has come and His Spirit dwells in and works through those who are called by His name. We pray you continue to remain strong in the Lord and a passionate fire-starter for the Kingdom of God. The comfort we have is that this too will work together to bring the lost to the Lord and therefore glorify His name. Love you so much.
The Fleming family is on my heart and in my prayers. May God grant you peace in your time of loss.
The Final Salute
“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.
This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to SGT James (Jimmy) Milton Fleming our Brother in Arms. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Jimmy. And to Jimmy it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for his service in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and for the selfless sacrifices he made for his country while serving with the U.S. Army. No greater love and patriotism is shown than a man dedicate his life in service to his country. Jimmy, you are a brave Army Warrior and a true Patriot. We bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at ease. Rest in Peace.
On behalf of the 1,261 military veteran Legionnaires of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion and the 233 veterans of VFW Post 2238 in Shreveport, Louisiana, we extend our sympathies and our condolences to Freddie's family and loved ones.

Lauren, you have been a true inspiration to me, watching your faith take hold of you and allowing Christ to use you as a vessel to further His Kingdom throughout this tragedy. You have challenged my faith to go even deeper than it already is. You have continually displayed the true traits of Christ. I love you and your family so much. I can still remember changing Jimmy's diapers, watching dad train him to ride his first bike, and even watching him talk to complete strangers he had never even met before. I have watched God's Hands move in this family in such a tremendous way that I stand in awe of His mercy. Even one woman was led to Christ on the plane because of Jimmy....I believe there will be many more to come who accept Christ throughout this tremendous event. I love you, Lisa (Jimmy's older sister)
