Met Jim for the first time at OTAP, where he taught me a thing or three about repairing the electronics inside computers. At the the same time he grabbed all he could learn from me about how the danged software worked. Back in 2009, after I'd been laid off, he found a place for me volunteering at Goodwill Easter Seals, and that turned into a full time paid job. Jim even started volunteering at GESMV and taught me even more about LCD monitors and power supplies.
Jim: You've left a big hole in our every day lives, but have superbly enriched the lives and memories of all who've had the honor of meeting you and your family. God Bless!!!

How little did I know when I first met Jim back in '85 that he would later introduce me to his daughter Suzanne who was to become my wife and mother of our two children. It's hard to believe that it's been 27 years now. I've probably heard just about every story you could possibly imagine from Jim with such vivid detail it's like the hands of time had just spun back and he's reliving the moment all over again - a seemingly endless flow of stories exceeded only by his devotion to those he cared about. He's always been there for me, Suzanne and the kids whenever there was a need, a dear friend that life will never again be the same without. We've fished off the Destin jetty (where besides a real fish or two he also hauled in a seagull), crabbed off the bridge, hiked up to the old power house falls, traipsed across his old stomping grounds over in Independence Va, worked on things together, and the list just goes on and on and on. No doubt our lives have intertwined over the years and I'd have to say that if my heart was made of cheese, it would have to be swiss and now there's a great big hole the size of a volley ball right in the middle. The flip-side of this sad situation is that I know he's now with Suzie-Q.
The loss of someone so close is difficult to bear. We share your grief. We've been there. Our prayers are with you and we are asking for overwhelming comfort at this time.

OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU DURING THIS TIME OF YOUR BEREAVEMENT. WE PRAY THAT GOD WILL CONTINUE BLESS AND KEEP YOU IN HIS CARE.
Jim was a great guy, never a loss for words. Patty and I will miss the times that he would come over to chat at Kim and Dennis's next door. He was a very intelligent man, knew more about any subject than most. We tried to visit him as much as possible in the various different hospitals, he was always glad to see us, we enjoyed the time reading the Bible to him and our prayer time as well. We know without a doubt he is with God. Love Ya Patty and Mike
