Dear Marshall and family,
Please accept my condolences during this difficult time. Janet put up a long and courageous fight. May she now have peace.
I was saddened to learn of Janet's passing through a high school classmate at St. Teresa's Academy. We were high school friends and I remember lots of laughs and giggles. My prayers go to all her family.
I was terribly saddened to read of Janet's passing. She was a major influence in my life when I began working on the business desk in the mid 1970s. I always looked up to and admired this very fine woman. My thoughts and prayers are with her entire family.

With deepest sympathy,
Darling Miller/Meyer families - We here at the Tretbar corner are so heartbroken for you all. You are our family. I (Kirsten) have lost a Auntie, Kathy (mom) has lost a sister, and Ozzy and Eric, who've known Jonathan so well too, well, we are all just feeling your loss and pain. When I think what we've all been through all these years, parties, plans, dinners after dinners, traveling the globe together, the love and support Janet and Marhall have given all of us (endless, infinite, amazing hug-fulls of love!), I just can't speak. Janet will be with us always, our love for her will never end, it will only grow. Your family is a truly amazing one, you are all such beautiful, original, passionate, funny, creative, dedicated, honest and loyal friends, mentors, supporters, and souls. We will be there this week for you and as much as you need us forever into the future. We love you! Our arms are around you, as you go through this, as your arms were around us when we lost our amazing Larry! Thank you God for giving us our darling Janet. Thank you Janet for all you gave us and the world. XOXO Kirsten & Ozzy, Kathy & Eric!
Regretably I never had the honor of meeting Janet although I am a friend of Larry. My prayers are with you all

Janet gave me my major break in journalism by hiring me for the Kansas City Times business desk in 1982. I have always felt indebted to her for that and am so sorry to hear of her passing. My heartfelt condolences to her family. She was truly a mentor of mine, and she helped get me on the front page on my first week on the job.
The obituary really captured janet! The community will miss her energy and skills. Her friends and family will miss her wonderful personality and vitality. My sympathy is with you all.
