Not only a lovely person inside and out, but a charming funny lady with so much love to give and she gave it to us, her family. Miss you Janice always.

Her flame is so bright it shines thru the afterlife. You are missed tremendously Mrs. Janice! I know you will be the first in the room when those grandbabes say "Janice meet your Great Grandbaby."

Janice was my art teacher at Shades Valley HS 1974-1978. We have remained good friends for 35 years. She was truly a blessing in my life and I know she is at peace. What a great person to know and call your friend.
I am so sorry about the passing of Jan. I got to know her at the Gardendale Public Library. She was one of our most faithful patrons. She always made us laugh and brightened many a day. She will truly be missed. You are in our prayers.
One of our favorite memories of the years we spent teaching, etc. is being in the presence of Jan Blount, an art teacher with a huge talent, not only for art, but for teaching kids about how funny life can be! The world is a lot less bright today without her, but Heaven is surely sparkling, 'cause Jan is there! Would that we could all be more like her....We love you, Jan....Ron and Linda Becker
Janice was a wonderful lady, with the best personality ever. We will miss her smile and her ways of making you laugh about everything. God has a beautiful Angel for sure. Evelyn & Sarah Charter Communications.
I remember Janice from 3 years of art class. She was my most favorite teacher.
Janice was my art teacher at Shades Valley. Although I haven't seen her in over 20 years, just thinking about her makes me smile. She taught us a great deal about art and life, and kept us laughing the entire time. She was in a "class" by herself and made a big impression on my life. A great teacher and a good friend, she will be missed.
What I fine person that all will miss. After a life of giving, she now receives the blessing of being with our Lord.
