We will miss you Brother Joe . Brother Chad Bremond Lodge #350
I love you, Dad. We have great memories forever! Danell
The first time I met Joe was at Laverne's house where he was washing a Kerry Blue Terrier at her sink with such kindness and devotion within his heart. From that day forward I knew he was a special man on this earth. His love for Joanna and was precious. He will be missed and I wish him peace in the arms of our Lord, and being able to play on the other side of the rainbow bridge with the Kerries. My heartfelt sympathies,
Joanna, We were so very sorry to read in the Dallas Morning News about the passing of Joe. Our prayers go out to you and your family. We enjoyed visiting with the two of you off and on through the years at James' mom and dad's house (Charlie and Martha Kocian).
I am so sorry for your lose. Joe was a great guy. I enjoyed working with him
We have you in our prayers. God Bless
Joe was a great guy and partner. He had a sense of humor that kept me entertained throughout the shift and he also pointed out some things that I should know as a young cop.
Joe joined our family later in life when he met my mother Martha Lou Tucker Cochran. She welcomed him into the family and embraced him as her nephew. It was a joy to know Joe.
I worked with Joe in the Crimes Against Persons Unit of the DPD in the early 80's. Joe was a good man and a good officer. He will be missed. Rest in Peace, Joe....... Rusty Pool
He was one of the nicest men I have ever had the priviledge of knowing, and working with. It was an honor to have been counted as a friend. Our prayers and thoughts are with his family at this time. God bless each of you.
Edwin and Donna McNutt

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Johnston family. May God comfort you all at this difficult time and hold on to the many memories of your loved one, it will get you through. God Bless
Joe was a Good Police Officer and a very good Investigator. He was a Good Man and a Good Person who was liked and respected by all his peers. He will be missed by all who knew him , and loved him. Your final 66 has come, may you RIP knowing that you fought the good fight, and you finished the race. God Bless,
The entire Johnson family are in our prayers durimg these sad days. I always enjoyed working around Joe all those years in Capers. Will never forget the day that Joe came to work and said "I found my mother, I talked to her and I'm going to go see her".
Joe was a decicated detective and investigated his cases thoroughly. He will be missed. RIP Joe.
11 year ago we welcomed a Kerry Blue Terrier into our home. The Kerry was bred by Joe and Joanna Johnston. We were one of the lucky ones, along with our Kerry Blue Terrier came the wonderful friendship of Joe and Joanna. Joe taught us to have a gentle heart with our Kerry along with firm loving hand. We will miss Joe's wisdom, expertise, and great sense of humor. The Kerry Blue Terrier Club lost a valuable member with Joe's passing. I know Joe will be welcomed at the rainbow bridge by a loving and devoted litter of Kerry Blue Terriers especially his beloved Aimee. We love you Joe. God Bless you and your family.
I feel the highest honor a law enforcement officer can receive at his passing is the simple statement, "he was a honest, hardworking and good cop" and Joe was certainly all of these.
I pray Joe's family and friends can find peace and comfort during this time of sadness and sorrow in the blessings of our Lord.
Rest in Peace, Uncle Joe.
We love you and will miss you dad.
To Joanna and her family,
Our heartfelt condolences and sympathy reach out to all of you. We shall keep you close in our thoughts and prayers, as we shall keep fond memories of Joe, forever in our hearts! "If it were not for the mutual love of the Kerry Blue Terrier, sadly our paths would never have crossed".
Nick, Doreen and Family
Our prayers are with all of the family. Please accept our deepest sympathy. Leslie and Jon Janovec
