"Mr. Abbott our next door neighbor" for 26 years was quite an active person and we have many fond memories of him and his wife. Our thoughts and prayers go to his family as you remember his long life.

It was a great privilege for me to get to know Mr. Abbott over the past ten years at the Abbott Reunions in Alabama. His enthusiasm and commitment to family history, as well as his friendly, outgoing, and gracious personality, were always highlights of the event. It was an honor to be able to claim Mr. Abbott as a wise elder of our extended family. I send my heart-felt sympathies to his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Prayers for the Abbott Family.
I have worked with Mr John on Abbott family history for approximately twenty
years. I always enjoyed my association
with him, as he was not only very knowledgable, but very witty, and with all a very sweet man. My sympathies
are with his family at this sad time.
Our sympathy to Mr John's family. We always enjoyed seeing at the Labor Day
reunions. We also appreciated his vast
knowledge of family history.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time. We always enjoyed Mr "Arkansas" John's wit and knowledge at the Labor Day reunions. He was a special man and a blessing to know.
Dear Abbott Family
You have my deepest sympathy, Mr Abbott will truely be missed, I enjoyed talking with him when he would sit in the yard and water. he was so thrilled with the sprinkler system,it was also so nice to have someone that knew the details of my home being built and when things were added. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.
Thank you for your guidance in my career. You were a good, honest friend and mentor.
Mabel and I are praying for you and your family. Due to Mabel's health, we will not be able to attend your service.

Much love to all of you. So blessed to have such fond memories of your wonderful family. You are all so very special to me. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.
Johnny, Charlotte, John C., Alice Ann and families, Our love to all of you--we prayed for peace for you at our bible study tonight. Uncle John was always very special to me. I always admired him and am grateful for the two trips we got to make to see you in recent years. We were tentatively planning a trip this May to attend the 100th birthday celebation. A recent memory that is special to me happened last spring at one of my son John's soccer games. At halftime I called Uncle John because I had a question about something I had read in a book he had sent to Mom. 40 minutes later, I had learned more than I would have imagined and he took the time to mail me a copy of that book and some other materials! He was an amazing man! God bless you all!
I grew up in Dallas Co, Ar. Knew of Mr. Abbott, but never got to talk to him. Would be interested in talking to a relative of his that has some info on his ancestors. He is lucky to live 99 years. I will rejoice his life with you . William Abbott
Our thoughts and prayers are with your family during this time of sorrow. May God bless you and comfort you with warm and precious memories.
My prayers are extended to Mr. Abbott's family at this difficult time. I met Mr. Abbott through our mutual passion for genealogy and local history. I'm sorry I didn't have more time with him, he will be missed.
My sympathy and prayers to the Abbott Family.

May God's peace be with the family during this time of great loss. Mr. Abbott was a true friend of many and especially of the South Arkansas Historical Foundation. His legacy of great architecture here in El Dorado is a tribute to a wonderful talent and life. He will be missed by many. (South Arkansas Historical Foundation Board Member)

John's love of family and family history will be truly missed. In his long and fruitful life he touched the lives of many, and he leaves behind him an empty space in all our hearts that can never be filled.
Love to all John's family. He was such an amazing person and lived an amazing life. We are sorry we lived so far away and didn't get to see him more often. There are a couple of memories that stand out: The first is when he and Alice came to Spearfish for mom and dad's 50th wedding anniversary and John (who was 84 at the time) got on the floor to brush Kaitlin's hair. She was 4 and wouldn't let anybody else brush it! The second memory is when we were able to go visit during Spring break, 2007. He amazed us all with all the stories and the tour he took us on of the area. He was extra fun when we played Mexican Train! We will truly miss him as he was one of a kind!
Love, Mary and Randy Neu
