John will be greatly missed by all of us at the Ontario Command office in Aurora. John was a wonderful man and a pleasure to work for during his term as provincial president. His(&Joan's) visits to the office were always a pleasure as John always took time out to speak with each employee and he always had a kind word and a smile for everyone. John was truly a great man and we will miss him dearly.

I first met John at a District F convention in Belleville, many years ago when my husband was part of the council. I remember John as being very supportive and full of encouragement when I was doing PR for District F and have many photos of him and my husband together taken in Trenton at the rehearsal for the Road show going to Afghanistan-as John was travelling with the entertainers. My condolences to you and your family.

To Aunt Joan, Rob and Brian and family:
I was sadden to hear of Uncle Johns passing. I have many many memories of him especially where he always called me the "goofy newfie". He was a man with a big heart and his passion for the Legion was so evident as he would recall his memories of certain events. I sure wish we all lived closer in times like this. Be assured of my prayers and thoughts as you face the days ahead and may you find peace in your memories. I love you all.
Dear Joan and Family: So many memories, a true mentor for Paul and I in our early years in the Legion.
