Our family extends heartfelt compassion to the entire Boettiger family on John's recent passing. Seems just 'yesterday' that John was a young Eagle Scout inspiring others in BSA Troop 328 to follow the trail to Eagle. He was a kind and generous young man then and a most admirable son, husband, father and gentleman throughout his life. God give you strength and peace.

Laura Anne misses her godfather and we miss our good friend and brother..
Michelle, I have often thought through this time your family was going through and was so proud of you how you lived with each passing day and appreciated every moment you had with John and your girls. The times we shared at basketball while you were both watching Amber play and Amelia be our mascot were precious times for me and your family to watch. You were the pillar of strength for him, and your children. May God be with your family during the days to come and carry you all the days through.
I worked with John at Deloitte for over three years. He was a great person, and a mentor. He will be missed dearly. I keep him and his family in my prayers.
Please know that we are keeping your family in our prayers. Our son John Paul is in Amelia's class and he is deeply sorry of what your family is going through. God Bless, The Hernandez Family

I can't even begin to imagine the pain of this loss of your son, but I know I will pray for you and yours to have a peacefulness and strength that is beyond our earthly understanding.
Sincerely, Vickie Symington

My prayers are with the entire Boettiger family during this time. May God bless you all.
I am shocked and saddened by this news. John and I worked together in high school and remained friends throughout college. I moved and lost touch. I heard he married Michelle from our class and thought it was a terrific match! He, such a terrific man. She, such a terrific woman! I have two young children and cannot even Imagine the pain Michelle and her family are going through. My heart, soul and prayers are with you all. John was the most pure of heart guy I have ever known. Reading about his accomplishments in life today makes me feel very proud of him and sad that he's gone. But, wow... He made a lot out of his 40 years here on earth!!! A legacy to be admired, at least for me I know... The rest of my life. God bless his family and close friends... I haven't even spoken to him since we were probably 19. But, hearing this through other friends in common has affected me and I just want particularly Michelle to know, I am praying for her and her girls! I just don't know what else to say... My heart aches for you all.
Michele and girls,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. May God give you peace and comfort as you go through this time of sorrow. John will always be with you in your memories that you've shared together. God bless you all.
My deepest sympathies to you and the entire family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
(Class of 1989)
Amber - I was very surprised and saddened when I heard the news about your Dad this week. I had no idea that he was so sick. I am deeply saddened by the news of John’s passing. I met John as a freshman at Brazoswood High School where we quickly became friends. He was one of those guys whos laugh and smile was transferable to all those around him. One could feel his presence and his positive energy would permeate. I am grateful for the time I spent with John and to have called him my friend. May God continue to bless his family.
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your brother. We are praying for you and your family to find strength and comfort during this difficult time. We love you at Townewest Elementary!

a life beautifully lived, but far too short. our love and prayers to all.
John and I worked together at a mens store in the Brazos Mall for some time and doubled to prom in 1987 (I believe). He was always such a fun guy and really bright. I talked to him some time after college and he sounded really happy. I know he loved his family and we will all miss him greatly.
I am not able to express in words how I feel, John was a friend that should be honored and never forgotten. I wish I could be there.May GOD bless him and his family.
So sorry for your loss. Will be praying for the whole family,
You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. John was a wonderful person and will be missed by all who knew him. May God be with all of you and give you strength.

Dearest Michele, Amelia, Amber, and Ava,
John was such an awesome man. We prayed regularly for his complete healing, and truly believed that if anyone could kick cancer it was John.
He was such a light in any room. I remember talking to him at a Pres party one time in particular - he had such a vibrant smile, gentle warmth, engaging personality and was a graceful gentleman. Our entire community is missing a star - and I know you miss your star husband and daddy.
He was a gem - we will miss him, and keep you all in our hearts forever.
With much love,
The Attwell Family

It was my pleasure to have known a man so committed to his family, faith and charitable causes. I will not soon forget his witty dry sense of humor and depth of character. Michelle, your family will continue to be in our prayers.

I'd like to extend my deepest sympathies to the Boettiger family. As a member of the SLCS PTO board, we have been praying for the family for several months as we were kept abreast of Mr. Boettiger's health. I am very saddened to hear he has lost his battle. While in high school we worked together part time at a clothing store and I remember one of our conversations, mind you this was 1988/89. He said, that one day he would be President and that he would be so successful that the law would be rewritten so that he could be President for a third term in a row. I knew then John was ambitious and proved it on other levels. I'll never forget that - it was funny and serious. I will miss him. My condolences to John's family. Jason Grigar
A wonderful man - deepest prayers and condolences to the entire Boettiger family.
