I'll never forget my dear friend John. 1st time we met in Brazil we were in 6th grade. He showed me the ropes ( well really all the curse words in Portuguese ). Then back here in Michigan, same thing. He and Billy Garcia were so happy to have me with them.. We did everything together. This guy was more than a friend he was a brother, as the Faughnan's are my extended family. We love you all, and hope that you can find some comfort knowing that John was loved as are you.
Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. John will be remembered often, sometimes with a laugh of the good times and sometimes with a tear.. It is very hard to lose a friend, and a brother. I'll miss John, my brother James and of course TJ My Man.. We all know that they are looking over us and taking care of us, and of course having one for us.
Love,
MW

John was my favorite brother I ever had!He was very funny, pleasant, humble, and always had an attitude of service to my family. He helped Mom and Dad immensely around the house, especially when Dad got a little older and had more health issues. He always carried our luggage, helped us put the Christmas tree up (especially my Mom and Dad's), put toy trains and "Amyville" together for Amy under the tree, etc. We actually took a lot of what he did for granted, there is no doubt. I hope I thanked him enough, because he was very helpful. He loved music, loved "Mash" w/ Alan Alda (in the old Days), and when he was little he wore his Batman cape everywhere around the house. I remember thinking that he really thought he could fly, and he would do flips off of his headboard. Now he is flying in heaven with all the awesome angels and God. I guess he was practicing for good reason...only the very best die young. I lived with John for a few years, and we made pretty good apartment roomies. He always had something yummy cooking in a pan after it had marinated for a while in some kind of zesty sauce...he loved cooking, doing laundry (NOT!!!), and watching T.V. while smoking cigarettes. We actually were quite compatible as roomies. When I would get crazy and philosophical, he was very patient and never hurt my feelings or insulted me. He was an extremely kind person, and knew of his own weaknesses. He tried very hard to please my parents, which he did, out of respect for what they had given him his whole life. He appreciated what people did for him, and he admired generous people. He was one of the kindest people you will ever meet. He was so good with Amy, as she grew up looking up to him for all the fun he brought her. John was an original, and you will NEVER meet anyone like him . I know that he and Dad and all the lovely heaven family members and friends are together rejoicing now. John wins the award for "The Best Brother in the World." I thank God for the impact he had on us and on our lives. Peace and Love to you always... Love C.C.

My heart aches so much for the loss of my lifelong friend Johnny, my "brother from another mother". We shared every weekend for many, many years. College roommates and confidants. We understood, where others didn't. I will miss him very much and forever.

I pray for the entire Faughnan family, for my "aunt" Barbara, that God's hand turns this very painful time, quickly to fond memories. Memories of the caring, laughing, quick witted Johnny.

I'll long for one more Misto Quente and a cold one. One more round of golf. One more belly laugh.

I'll often reflect back on the recent wisdom John shared with me. Partiularly on his perspective about what matters most; family and freinds. Why does such a struggle bring on such wisdom? I know Uncle Tom would have been so proud!

Save a place for us all Johnny .... my brother ....

We are so very sad to hear of John's passing. We will always remember him with great fondness; especially his warm and generous heart, and his friendly smile. We believe that John is in a much better place now, and that he has been lovingly embraced by the angels that went before him, most especially his Dad. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you, and we hope that the many joyful moments you shared with John will help you through this difficult time.
