Sherry, sorry to hear of John's passing. He was one of the "good guys!"
I met John at Stopher where he wourked as a teaching assistant several years back. We often shared the same lunch time and I loved talking with him. He was a wonderful person.
Sherri, I worked with John occasionally at Wilder Elementary in the past several years and was so sorry to hear of his passing. He was such a kind hearted man and often talked of the trips you would take searching out good food. He so loved his family and never had anything to say that wasn't loving about all of you! I was lucky enough to have a nice long conversation with him back in October and he had such a positive attitude about life. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts are with you as you go through the days ahead.

My deepest sympathy on your loss. I enjoyed working with "Mr. John" in my kindergarten class at Stopher. He was so cute with the children. The busier he was in the classroom the happier he was. He was always patient and friendly with the children and adults. It was always fun to hear about his yard sale finds, travels and life experiences. He loved each of you dearly and was so proud of the grandchildren. He touched many. I will keep you in thought and prayer. May your happy memories uplift you during this difficult time.

I WAS SADDENED TO HEAR OF JOHNS PASSING. ALTHOUGH I NEVER HEARD FROM HIM PERSONNALLY SINCE HE LEFT STOCKTON FOR LOUISVILLE I SOMETIMES HEARD ABOUT HIM FROM OTHERS WHO CROSSED PATHS WITH HIM. EVERYTHING SAID WAS GOOD!
"JOHN OF IMMIGRATION" WAS WHAT MANY AGENTS CALLED HIM WHILE IN STOCKTON. HE WAS AN EXCELLENT AGENT AND AN ASSET TO THE BORDER PATROL.

So sorry for your loss. John substituted for me several times. The children loved him. He was always very pleasant to be around. He was one of us at Stopher Elementary. He will be greatly missed.
Sherri, I was deeply saddened by the news of John's passing. I have so many wonderful memories of both of you from my youth. I often tell the story when John Sr. was sitting at the dining room table eating jalapeno peppers from a jar and I asked him if they were hot. He told me to dip my finger in the juice and taste it. He had a wonderful sense of humor. I'm keeping you, John Jr, Jenny and Jimmy in my prayers.
We are so sorry Sherry for you and your family. John was always so great to Sam and me. Hugs and prayers . Dottie and SDam.
I am so sorry Sherry for you and the family. John was always great to me and Sam. Hugs and prayers Dottie and Sam Gordon.
Hard to imagine that he's gone. Unfortunately, the last time we actually spoke voice-to-voice was two years ago when he and Aunt Sherri called me when my husband died. It was an incredibly kind-hearted gesture and will not ever be forgotten. I will always remember his sense of humor and constant smile. Love you Uncle John! xoxo Susie

Jennifer and family,
Your dad was a very kind man. I'm so sorry for your loss. We had countless talks about the places he and the family had traveled. He was always looking forward to the next destination. He also talked often about his love for square dancing. I always thought he was an interesting guy. When he spoke of his family he really lit up! He loved his family dearly. His smile was contagious. He is sure to be missed. Praying for peace and comfort for you all. We'll see him on the other side.

Jennifer and family,
We loved John at Coleridge- Taylor. He had such charisma with all of the children and put laughter into each of their days. He was a natural and loving teacher. He saw only the positive . I cannot remember one time when he wasn't smiling. He will be truly missed by all of us. My prayers and condolences at this very sad time .
Sherri and family,
I have been just heartbroken by the news of John's passing. It was certainly unexpected. I hadn't spoken to John in several years and it has been longer since seeing him, but I can picture his unwaivering cheerfullness like it was yesterday. When I left the patrol and came to Louisville John taught me a lot of what he knew and everything I needed to know about our job. I can honestly say that I have passed John's excitement on to another generation of agents. Please know how much John meant to me and that he will always be in my thoughts.
