I knew John through the Exchange Club. He always made me smile; such a dear man. It was a privilege to know him and ring the bell with him for Salvation Army at Christmas - lots of laughter. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I m so sorry to hear of your loss. John was my boss for several years at Southwestern Bell. He was always caring and considerate and I thought of him as a friend. I respected him very much.

Dear Roger,

Venabelle, David Evan and I send many condolences to you, David and Susan as well as all the family . I had called him in May when we had a good talk together . Earlier in talking to him he said,” You know George I've lived down here so long that I consider myself a Longhorn.

I replied, “ John you were born an Ohio Buckeye, you went to school in Buckeye territory, graduated at Ohio State , your wife Dorothy was

A Buckeye, John , you'll always be a Buckeye.” Your dad lived his life like a passage from Thoreau's “ Walden”, “Simplicity, simplicity, simplicity. Live your life by cutting your business of 100's down to twos and keep their accounts on your thumbnails.” Rog , your dad, and my brother was a great wonderful, man .
