Jonathan helped my wife and I buy our first investment property...after closing the purchase, he took me as his guest to Tanglewood for a round of golf. My wife and I greatly valued his easy demeanor and infectious smile. Jon, you will be missed...

I was completely saddened as I heard this news. Jonathan was a great role model and true friend especially during my younger years. We spent a great deal of time together growing up on birchwood court when he lived with his grandmother and spending endless hours playing hockey, golf and working out. Those moments I will cherish forever and the brief time spent with his father and a great deal of time with Tamara and Tanya. I was wishing to come out to carolina to see his beautiful family and children whom I never had the opportunity to see in person. I know I will never get that opportunity again but I will always be grateful that he was a part of my life. Friends Forever.

Our family is both shocked and saddened to learn of Jonathan's untimely passing. We have many memories of Jonathan and his enthusiastic, friendly and caring attitude to how he lived. He made an measurable impact in his short, but well lived life as he demonstrated his dedication to friends and family. We will miss him. We take comfort in the knowledge that he's joining his sister and his father to watch over all of us. Thoughts and prayers to Coriena, Tamara and his children. Godspeed from the Jackson family.

As a longtime friend of the Buckaway family, I always remember how much energy, laughter and enthusiasm Jonathan had. His faith and his family were the centre of his world and he shared his feeling about them with others when ever he had a chance. Will miss you Jonathan.

Give thanksgiving and praise;
-for an awesome and loving and faithful husband and friend we had in Jonathan
-Give thanks that things weren't always perfect because through it we became more like Christ We grow spiritually if we are willing to submit our problems to Him.
-Give thanks for Jonathan's life
-I feel Jonathan whisper; Do not cry for me , cry only for yourselves. Grieve because it is healthy, good and healing, but do not grieve as those who have no hope"
Pray for those whose lives Jonathan touched, but do not have Christ as their Savior yet.

Live like Jonathan;
-Take time to enjoy God's creation - often
-Be a friend to all
-Forgive quickly
-Pray like crazy for your family
-Honor your parents
-Have fun with your kids
-Develop your God given talents
-Love your spouse with all that is in you
-Go on lots of little dates; coffee, running silly errands
-Hold hands
-Embrace
-kiss passionately, and often
-Never leave each other without saying "I love you, I'm praying for you." (I heard those words everyday, and will into eternity)

Christ has welcomed His good friend and buddy home, and said "Well done good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of the Lord."

On behalf of The First Tee of the Triad, I want to express my sincere condolences to the family and friends of "Coach Buckaway". He made such an impression on not only the children in our organization, but on the other volunteers as well.

Jonathan showed the love of Christ not by talking, but by quietly doing. He helped in more ways than can be listed here. He was always the first to show up, the last to leave, and the one who gave his all.

Jonathan will be missed by many. His children, friends and family will be in my prayers.

Jonathan stopped me in my tracks playing drums for a charity event in which bikers and homeless gave themselves to Our Lord Jesus Christ. Like Christ; Jonathan did not pursue the rich and famous, those who feel they have enough worldly possessions to get them through life. He hung out with those of us concerned with the afterlife. I look forward to serving with him again. WOW! Norbert King

I was so sorry to hear of Johnathan's passing. I met him several years ago when he called for a termite inspection on a house he had sold. He was a great guy. I enjoyed working with him and also I called him friend. He will be missed. We will be praying for the family and friends.

Dear Buckaway family we are so sorry for the loss of Jonathan. He was a tremendous husband and father, as well as being a friend to all. I'll miss talking hockey with him, and our children will miss his encouraging personality during their participation with the First Tee. God Bless and our prayers are with you all.

The Buckaway's have been friends of mine for almost a decade. Jonathan and the kids were just at my house a few weeks ago for a cookout and two weeks ago we shared conversation over coffee at church. I'm heartbroken you are gone, my friend. But I'm encouraged by the thought that God has a plan, even through the seemingly tragic. And this feels SO tragic. Surreal, even. Jonathan left an indelible mark on my life. Over the last several months, he was incredibly supportive of my family and such an encouragement and blessing to us during our time of grief. Now, I vow to do the same for Coriena & the kids in theirs. Jonathan, you will forever be missed but I know you're drumming and golfing away in heaven. God has a plan.
Love,
Krista

Coriena, I grieve with you and Tamara and your children. You and Jonathan have been long time friends, and John and I enjoyed coming to visit you a few years back at your home, while we were on holidays. I pray you will all take comfort in knowing that many many people are praying for you, lifting you all up to the Lord. I pray you will be comforted knowing you will see your beloved again in Heaven, where we will all have a happy reunion. He is reunited with his family who have gone on before him. We truly love and care for you all, and continue to pray.

Jonathan---simple words cannot express what an important place you and your family held in my heart! Your incredible committment to The First Tee of the Triad, to the children, volunteers and coaches were invaluable. You always gave more than you took with everyone you met; it was an honor to know you! You will be so missed, but I know that our God in heaven has greater plans for you and will keep your beautiful family wrapped closely in His arms. You were the most amazing father, friend, husband and son. The world will never be the same without you!

I am deeply sadden at this tragic loss. Jonathan was a member of our First Impressions Ministry Parking Team at Calavary Baptist Church and he was always upbeat and we had a lot of fun during those long Sunday mornings driving around in the golf buggies picking up church members from the far reaches of the parking lot. Jonathan was always interested in you and what you were doing, and was always kind to ask how my son was doing in school and in his job search. I will miss his spirit, laughter, and Christian spirit each Sunday when it is our turn for parking duty.

Jonathan always had time for his friends. That's saying a great deal because he also had many friends. It was obvious that he was a people person. He loved people. He loved his family most of all. He will be greatly missed. If Jonathan could talk to us right now I think that he'd be telling everyone, "Heaven is a great place. I think you would like it here. I hope I'll see you here someday."

Jonathan, Wes & I don't know what to say. So let me try... we loved it when you came to see or call us. You were ALWAYS happy talking about Coriena, the kids, golf, flying, the band & our CRazy real estate business. You handled the mortgage/realtor estate pressure so well, even when I was going nuts. We all loved making jokes about how crazy the business was driving us & your answer to fix everything was to laugh. Thanks for letting Wes & I work with your over the years & be BUDDYS.

Coriena, Wes & I loved Bucky & listened to him love you, his mom & the kids. He was a wonderfully fun person to talk too ! Trust me he was a very happy hubby, father, son, golfer & so many other things to this world. We all have alot to learn from the love he showed & talked about. To me he will always be 'REALTORBUCKY'. We will keep his business card in our office everyday to remember our 'REALTORBUCKY'. God bless you, his mom, the kids & the whole family !

WE ARE ALREADY MISSING YOU JONATHAN ... Watch over us all with that BIG SMILE !!! From THE JENKINS, your Mortgage Buddys as he called us :)
