Well Brother, it has taken me this long to share my thoughts (don't laugh), but here I am. I miss you deeply and keep thinking I will be seeing you soon, or texting you to see how you are. Will forever keep our last conversation in my heart. No we didn't get to dance as we had planned, but I know that you have the best partners now,mom and grandma, (dad is probably having a fit, having a hard time cutting in :). I know you are with me because I just found a letter you wrote to me many years ago which confirms the bond and love we have, as well as with the others. Your embrace is as big as your smile, it reaches many and holds use close. Love you much, miss you, always in my heart.
I know "yeah, yeah, yeah". Bendicion, a ti, mami, papi, y abuela.
Your sister Aggie (better late then never! :)

Hey Joe
So sorry for your loss. Try to stay strong through this difficult time!
Saturday, July 20, 2013
My Brother wrote this back in January, how profound of him!

Did you know the people that are the strongest are usually the most sensitive? Did you know the people who exhibit the most kindness are the first to get mistreated? Did you know the one who takes care of others all the time are usually the ones who need it the most? Did you know the 3 hardest things to say are I love you, I'm sorry, and Help me.
Sometimes just because a person looks happy, you have to look past their smile and see how much pain they may be in. To all my friends who are going through some issues right now--Let's start an intention avalanche. We all need positive intentions right now. If I don't see your name, I'll understand.
May I ask my friends wherever you might be, to kindly copy and paste this status to give a moment of support to all those who have family problems, health struggles, job issues, worries of any kind and just need to know that someone cares. Do it for all of us, for nobody is immune. I hope to see this on the walls of all my friends just for moral support. I know some will!! I did it for a friend and you can too. You have to copy & paste this one, no share button, because kindness is a effort given from the not the press of a button.

Dear Joe,

I was blessed when I met your wonderful family while living in the Bronx. That's when I gained a beautiful friend, your sister Martha. I remember you as a kind and gentle soul. I'm grateful my husband Raul got the chance to know you at Dover Business College. Your contagious SMILE and peaceful nature will shine forever! Our warm embraces go out to your ENTIRE family. Rest in peace dear man.

Dear Joe,

Our hearts are broken. There are no words to describe the pain and the heaviness that lays in my heart. I found myself looking at pictures this morning of the family times we've shared and am still in shock that I will never receive an email from you again, just to check in. I found a picture of the day Marlene was born and you were holding her. Its so hard to believe you are gone. You always said that eventhough I didn't believe it sometimes, that I would be ok. You always spoke to out of kindness and always wanted me to achieve more. Thank you for believing in me. I hope that i have made you proud. You will always be close to my heart and I know that you are looking at us, protecting us, helping us heal. You are greatly missed. With Love

Uncle Joey,
You have left us too soon. I'm sure you, grandma, and grandpa are having up blast up there. I always enjoyed our talks and I must say that my fondest memory of you will always be your eye-opening wisdom that you shared with me on a daily basis. You've always told me to keep going and never stop until I am happy. Everyday I go into one of grad classes or work your words replay over and over in my head. You always had a sense of humor, that I LOVED! I will never forget the time I took grandma to California and we met up for dinner along with my friend from Pennsylvania. Once you saw the bill was quite hefty, you passed it across the table to my friend. When he oh so willingly took out his wallet, you couldn't help but laugh! haha I love and will miss you so much! Until the day we have our next conversation. Love you xoox Rest easy!

Gone too soon; nevertheless, the gates of heaven have embraced a wonderful man. May your children and love ones see beyond the sorrow today, but look back in memory to help comfort them tomorrow. XOXO - RIP!

From the first time I met Joe in Florida at a convention my husband was attending, I understood why Jim had been so taken by him. What a beautiful man, and fun to be with or even around. It was devastating when Jim called and told me the news. We were waiting for Joe to call and say "I'm back" so we could schedule a date with Andrea and him. Joe has said he wasn't quite ready for the "Salsa". His Spirit will continue to brighten our world through the many people whose lives he touched. Thank you for being my Friend.

Hey, do you remember that time when . . .?
My fondest memory of Joe was when he took me, and my friends Stephen and "Drac" to a New York Nets game at Nassau Coliseum on Long Island. The Nets with Dr. J were playing a play-off game against the San Antonio Spurs with George Gervin ("Ice Man"). During our long train ride there, Joe taught us how to play the card game "War." The basketball game ran long, and we had to run a mile to catch the last bus back to the train station. All four of us were running and laughing at the same time. When we finally got on the bus, we realized that we did not have the exact change for the fare. Luckily, a nice gentleman was able to provide us with change.
Recently, when my wife, Desiree, and I met Joe and Joey at "Downtown Disney," Joe and I were able to sit alone and reminisce about that time. We were cracking up about it. I remember that Nets game because it was such a special memory for me. I am fighting back tears as I type this. Thank you so much, Joe.

I was deeply sadden to hear you where no longer with us. I have to say you where a great boss in fact the best boss anyone can have !! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to work with you and helping me grow and giving me good advice. I remember you always telling me "your going to make me go more bald than what already am every time I would go into your office to tell you about the drops " And all those times you would make us laugh when u would take out the bat you would keep behind your door in case we gave you bad news lol ... There are so many good memories I will always remember you with that huge smile you always had on you face...thank you for everything you did for me ????

Joe always wore a Smile that was contagious. He spoke of his children often and always had the BEST advice. When I first met Joe we celebrated our September bdays together in 2005 when presented with Bday cake and being serenated with a lovely Bday song. Him and I got along so well from that day forward. He was truly a wonderful BOSS but an even better FRIEND.I was deeply saddend to hear of the loss of JOE as it appears his time here was way too short and I know his family feels the same way. My heart and prayers go out to his FAMILY may your hearts heal by knowing he is now your ANGEL. THE WORLD HAS LOST A WONDERFUL MAN BUT MAY YOU TAKE COMFORT IN KNOWING AN ANGEL IS WATCHING OVER YOU. Joe you won't be forgotton as you have left behind too many BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES. LOVE YA ALWAYS!!!

When you were born I was running around the neighborhood yelling "I'm a Sister to a Brother, I'm a Sister to a Brother". How SILLY was that, I sounded like Paul Revere! I would run home from school get the stroller and off we go to the park and swings. You were such a happy baby.
