2 Peter 5:6 and 7
Thinking about you and your family. Mr. Joe was a great man and (both of you) made a great impression on our lives growing up. He will be missed.
Dear Keri and family,
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. My grandfather is also at the Veterans Home in Reserve. Alibey made full circle, and after reading his obituary, it reminds me of an old saying along River Road in French "la oú ton nombril est enterré, la tu va retourner" --- this literally means "where your navel is buried you will return". Meaning your dad could have lived all over the world in the military and moved away from St. John Parish, but it was in St. John that he was "from" -- you can not change where you are "from" -- that stays with you for life. But the old Creole/Cajun saying implied you'd always end up back where you started. For Alibey this was true.
God bless you all,
My sympathies and prayers to Aunt Ginny and family.
