Admiral Coleman was a very important and memorable part of my life. My words and my sympathy can not begin to convey my feeling of loss. My thoughts of your family are indelible and my heart is with you forever
My life has been enriched by the friendship of Admiral Coleman and his wife Margie. They both represent the finest of the "Greatest Generation".
My sincere condolences to Margie and the rest of the family
Rear Admiral Jimmie Seeley
My deepest condoences to Adm. Coleman's family. I had the honor of working along side Joe in the campaign to Save the Sara, a community-wide campaign to convert the decommissioned U.S.S. Saratoga into a glowing museum and tribute to our Navy downtown on the St. John's River. Adm. Coleman was passionate about this campaign never missing an opportunity to talk to groups or individuals enlisting support wherever he could. His enthusiasm was infectuous with everyone he spoke to. It was an honor to know him.
Admiral Coleman is the reason I am in the Navy and can provide for my family. I never got to thank him in person. I dedicate my service in the Navy to honor his faith in me. My family and I send our love and deepest sympathies.
My condolences to the Colman family. I am prould to say I served under him aboard the USS Ranger in 1970, I was a PO3 then. May God bless and comfort you all . He was a great man and leader.

Worked for Admiral Coleman at Pan American Civil Engineering Firm. His inspiration is one of the reasons my son joined the Navy. Kindest thoughts and prayers to his wonderful family.
Sincerest condolences to the Coleman family. Joe was a fine Southern gentleman who will be missed by many. Rest in peace, good neighbor.
